Abstract:
A method of removing a sensing rod from a hydraulic water pump includes an access plug, a sealing o-ring, and an end block modified to receive the access plug. The access plug preferably includes a front flange, a threaded body, and a rear tapered end. An o-ring groove is formed adjacent the front flange to retain the sealing o-ring. An internal thread is preferably formed in the modified end block to threadably receive the access plug. An opening is formed through the length of the access plug which is sized to receive the sensing rod. The access plug is unthreaded to allow the sensing rod to be removed. A nut removal tool inserted through the internal threads of the modified end block to unscrew a rod nut. Once the rod nut has been unscrewed, the sensing rod may be removed.

US Classification:

Abstract:
A hydraulic reel adapted for attachment to a skid steer (hydraulic reel) includes a base frame, a reel frame, a reel, and a hydraulic motor. One end of the base frame is mounted to a quick mount member of the skid steer and the reel frame is pivotally attached to other end thereof. The reel includes an axle which is rotably retained by the reel frame. A hydraulic motor drives the reel. A rotary union is attached to an open end of the axle and a hose is secured to the other end of the axle. The hose is routed through an opening in the reel. Pressurized hydraulic fluid is taken from the skid steer hydraulic system to operate the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic reel may be moved wherever desired with the skid steer.

International Classification:

Abstract:
A method for suspending a rotor blade uptower includes mounting a first end of a support structure at a first uptower location of the wind turbine. The method also includes securing the rotor blade to a second end of the support structure. Further, the method includes mounting at least one pulley block assembly between a second uptower location and the support structure. Moreover, the method includes routing at least one pulley cable from at least one winch over the at least one pulley block assembly. In addition, the method includes detaching the rotor blade from the hub of the wind turbine. Once the rotor blade is detached, the method includes rotating the support structure about the first end via coordinated winch operation so as to lower the rotor blade a predetermined distance away from the hub. Thus, the method also includes suspending the rotor blade at the predetermined distance away from the hub via the support structure.

Abstract:
A hose fitting swaging device may include a base at least two truss rods, first and second die collars and a hydraulic cylinder. The truss rods may be spaced apart from each other and extend upward from the base. Each truss rod may have a proximal end removably secured to the base. Each truss rod may also have a distal end opposite the base. The first die collar may be removably secured to the distal ends of the truss rods. The second die collar may be slideably retained by the truss rods, between the base and the first die collar. The hydraulic cylinder may be removably secured to the base in between the truss rods and beneath the second die collar. Thus, the hydraulic cylinder may be operable to forcibly drive the second die collar upwards, along the truss rods, toward the first die collar. The first die collar may be supported entirely by the truss rods.
