Abstract:

A combination tree stand, blind and equipment carrier having a platform to support a user thereon within a user enclosure, a top frame member defining an upward opening of the enclosure, and first and second hinge assemblies connecting the top frame to the platform to allow it to be moved between a collapsed position and a fully erect position. The first and second hinge assemblies are positioned to extend between rearward and forward portions of the platform and the top frame. The hinge assemblies fold inward toward each other to collapse the enclosure for carrying or use as an equipment carrier when wheels are added. A seat is pivotally connected to the first hinge assembly which also serves as a back for the seat. A shelf and a splash panel are pivotally connected to the second hinge assembly. The platform has an access opening for the user to enter the user enclosure, and an access door.

Abstract:

Aircraft and airframes include a skin operatively coupled to a structural reinforcement member. The structural reinforcement member and the skin collectively define a run-out region that encompasses a terminal edge of the structural reinforcement member. Within the run-out region, the skin is more flexible than in adjacent portions of the skin. Methods include defining a region of increased flexibility of a skin relative to adjacent portions of the skin, and operatively coupling the skin to a structural reinforcement member.

Abstract:

A life preserver-containing seat having a seat with a seat back and a seat bottom, a life jacket fitted within a cavity formed in the seat back, and a covering material having one edge joined to the seat back and extending across the life jacket. The covering material has another edge removably affixed to the seat back so as to expose the life Jacket beneath the covering material. The seat has a frame with a foam material received therewithin. The cavity is formed in the foam material. A hook-and-loop material extends around at least a portion of the periphery of the seat cavity. The covering material has a complementary hook-and-loop material removably engaging the material around the cavity. A foam insert is removably received within a central hole formed in the life jacket.
