A flying disc, such as used for catching and/or throwing, constructed in a single piece structure integrally molded from flexible plastic material having a central flight plate section, an outer rim, and a shoulder section connecting the central flight plate section to the outer rim, the top surface of the outer rim having a raised ridge which provides a gripping surface and which gives the appearance of a rear spoiler which is believed to act as a rear control or deflection surface on the trailing edge of the disc.
An entrapment assembly suitable for use as a "hole" in, e. g. , a flying disc golf game, is disclosed. The assembly consists of a top portion operatively connected to a nest bottom portion, wherein at least one deflection member is operatively connected to said top portion and descends therefrom to form a "caged" target area for a flying disc or other object. In a preferred embodiment of the assembly, the caged target area is operatively connected to a pedestal and the deflection member or members are a series of tubular shaped impact absorbing members, curved slightly inward, pivotally attached to said top portion and descending into the nest.

Abstract:
A disc golf target includes a center post, a chain rack supported by the post, and a lower basket supported by the post opposite the chain rack. The chain rack has a hub mounted to the post, a plurality of spokes radially extending from the hub for supporting the circumference of the chain rack in concentric alignment with the hub, and a plurality of attachment points concentrically disposed between the hub and the circumference of the chain rack. A plurality of outer chains having first and second ends has the first end supported by the chain rack and the second end attached to an outer chain ring disposed about the post near the basket. A plurality of inner chains having first and second ends has each end supported by a respective attachment point wherein the inner chains vertically hand downward from the attachment points in an overlapping fashion to define an inner envelope for catching a disc.
