Abstract:
A fastener driving system and a fastener holding tool therefor having a shank and a resilient retainer with a bore therethrough coupled to a first end portion of the shank. A first end of the resilient retainer and a portion of the resilient retainer bore protrudes axially beyond the first end of the shank. In some embodiments, an annular chamfer is disposed on the resilient retainer between a first end and the bore thereof. The system includes a fastener having a shaft with a head formed on a trailing end portion thereof. The fastener head diameter is greater than the retainer bore diameter of the resilient retainer protruding axially beyond the first end of the shank to engage and retain the fastener.

Abstract:
A masonry anchor is provided with a reaming portion which includes recessed portions for defining reservoir regions for accumulating debris generated by the reaming operation when the anchor is installed within a masonry structure. The accumulation of the debris within the reservoir regions reduces torsional friction and installation torque characteristic of the anchor installation operation. Masonry anchors which are self-tapping or self-threading and which do not have reaming portions operatively associated therewith can also have such recessed reservoir structure defined thereon for such similar dust and debris accumulation and discharge purposes.

Abstract:
A powder-actuated tool cartridge clip comprising a generally elongate body member having major and minor dimensions, a plurality of explosive charge retaining receptacles arranged in series and an indexing member both disposed along the major dimension of the elongate body member. The cartridge clip is disposable in a feed channel of a powder-actuated tool of the type having an indexing mechanism for engaging and advancing the cartridge clip through the feed channel so as to sequentially position explosive charges retained at the cartridge clip in a discharge position. The cartridge clip also includes an indicator mark disposed along the elongate body member for indicating that a last remaining explosive charge retained in the cartridge clip is positioned at the discharge position or has been discharged when the portion of the cartridge clip having discharged explosive charges protrudes from the powder-actuated tool.
