Abstract:

In one embodiment, a computer system includes a first component configured to output data on a bus in response to a request for data from a second component. The data output by the first component may include both the requested data and unrequested data, and the unrequested data may have an unpredictable value. A controller coupled to the bus may be configured to replace the unrequested data with data that has a predictable value. A signature analysis register included in the second component is configured to capture the requested data and the predictable data output by the controller. Thus, the signature captured in the second component may be predictable, despite the unpredictable data output by the first component.

Abstract:

A computer system may include several integrated circuits and a routing circuit configured to route several data streams between the integrated circuits. The routing circuit includes several input ports, several output ports, and a signature analysis register coupled to one of the output ports. The signature analysis register is configured to collect data conveyed via the output port dependent upon whether the signature analysis register receives a tag identifying one of the plurality of data streams.

Abstract:

The onset of spontaneous abortion or premature labor of a pregnant human female is continuously monitored, potentially for periods of several months and longer, by a real-time transit-time ultrasonic monitor of the dilatation and/or effacement of the cervix os, preferably by a computerized ambulatory monitor. The preferred computerized monitor sounds an alarm upon the detection of variably present conditions, normally the compound conditions of five or more 10% cyclical variations in the dilatation or effacement of the cervix os within a period of one hour, coupled with a greater than 1 centimeter increase over baseline of either dilatation or effacement, which compound conditions normally indicate the early onset of labor. The monitor connects to an infusion pump, likewise preferably ambulatory, for directing and controlling the infusion of one or more tocolytic, labor-preventing, drugs if labor continues. In this manner patient activity and patient chemistry can be early detected, early alarmed and early beneficially altered even before it is possible to receive the diagnosis or treatment of a physician of other health care provider.
