Abstract:

In one embodiment, the online trading system having a real-time account opening process comprises one or more computers coupled to a network. The computers maintain a brokerage account database, and service web page requests received over the network. The web pages are preferably configured to implement a real-time account opening (RTAO) process that establishes new brokerage accounts in the account database. The RTAO process may include (a) obtaining contact information; (b) creating a new record in the brokerage account database for the contact information; (c) obtaining brokerage account application information; (d) updating the new record with the application information; (e) displaying a brokerage account contract; and (f) securing online agreement to said brokerage account contract. The process preferably also includes obtaining funding information to automatically initiate a transfer of funds to the brokerage account.

Localized noise sources are extracted using a distant array of transducers, and the absolute intensity can be measured even when totally masked by background noise at the transducer locations. The system includes an integrated sensor installation; a neural network detection system algorithm; a zoom system to precisely examine a small region in the steam generator vessel; a fuzzy logic system detection algorithm; and an expert detection system. The signal processing subsystem operates at three different levels of detection. At the top level of detection a trained neural network system monitors the vessel length for any indication of a leak.

A sensor system for mapping absolute acoustic noise intensity in a three-dimensional acoustic noise field. Localized noise sources within a vessel are extracted using a distant array of transducers mounted on the vessel wall. The absolute intensity can be measured even when totally masked by background noise at the transducer locations. The system includes an integrated transducer installation. Each transducer is an accelerometer which is mounted on the vessel wall using a rigid attachment rod which serves as an ultrasonic waveguide. The output of each transducer is split into low- and high-frequency components, the low-frequency component being a function of the vibrational displacement of the localized portion of the vessel wall and the high-frequency component being a function of the vibrational/ultrasonic waves propagating through the localized portion of the vessel wall.

An external data retrieval apparatus receives a low resolution version of a physiological signal from an active implantable medical device and determines if the physiological signal represents a clinically significant event. The apparatus provides an indication of such determination to the implantable medical device. Abstract:

A lead fixation accessory configured to be positioned over a skull hole and to transition between an opened state and a closed state during a lead implant procedure protects against lead migration by providing a mechanism for securing the lead in place at the skull hole while a stylet is removed from the lead. The lead fixation accessory remains in place after the implant procedure to provide chronic lead stability. A lead stabilization tool configured to access and grip a lead through a slotted cannula during the lead implant procedure also protects against lead migration by providing a mechanism for securing the lead in place at a point where the lead exits the skull hole while the slotted cannula is removed from the skull hole and peeled away from the lead.
