An apparatus and method for automatically monitoring and recording incoming and outgoing telephone call parameters and forming a call record in response thereto. Interchangeable integrated circuit building blocks include functionally equivalent integrated circuit building blocks, having similar footprints, and having one or more dissimilar features or operational characteristics. The alerter comprises an altitude sensing means for sensing the present altitude of the aircraft. A target entry means is used for entering the target altitude. An indicating means signals an altitude alerting condition upon the detection of a condition wherein the absolute difference is larger than the tolerance value. The altitude alerting apparatus may also comprise a display means for display of the present aircraft altitude information.

Abstract:

Systems and methods are disclosed for periodic real-time reporting of in-flight turbulence experienced by aircraft using the existing Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) messaging system. The invention includes both broadcast to and reception from other aircraft and ground stations using the ADS-B system. Systems and methods for displaying the received turbulence reports on a cockpit display system are also disclosed. The disclosed systems and methods accomplish the objectives of the invention on a non-interference basis with existing ADS-B system functionality by utilizing currently reserved message types and/or unused data fields for the turbulence reporting. The invention is applicable to both 1090ES and 978 UAT ADS-B systems.

Abstract:

The invention discloses a system and method of monitoring of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operating in the national airspace system (NAS). The multi-mode remote identification system (‘remote ID’) comprises an airborne sensor system having a multi-mode communication function adapted to remotely communicate the remote identification data of the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to interested parties on the ground. The system includes the ability to communicate the UAS data using means compatible with smart phones or other portable personal computing devices for example using WiFi or Bluetooth communications. The invention relates to operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the National Airspace System (NAS) using Remote Identification (Remote ID) and tracking.
