Abstract:

An index file for storing and retrieving on an individual basis, imaging data captured by an application running on an imaging subsystem of a document processor, the index file comprising a document-type definition file (DTD) that is processed with the image data by the imaging subsystem application, the imaging subsystem application interpreting the image data according to the document-type definition (DTD) file. The document type definition file preferably has a plurality of first elements related to selected parameters of the document processing system and second elements related to selected parameters of each at least one document that is processed, and further preferably has attributes that describe detailed information about selected ones of the elements. A flexible imaging index file is thus provided that is platform and application independent and that allows for the more facile storage and retrieval of image data from an image file.

Abstract:

A document processing system and method for storing and retrieving in an image file a plurality of captured document images for subsequent retrieval on an individual basis. The document processing system includes at least one computer running system software that interfaces with transport hardware to provide document control and capture of document images and document data in various formats. The captured image data is indexed by creating an index file containing indexing data having a structure that is in the form of a self-describing document, wherein elements describe the indexing data for the captured document images to allow subsequent retrieval on an individual basis. In a preferred embodiment, the index file structure is a document type definition (DTD) created using the extensible markup language (XML).

A document processing device is provided. A device service is configured to generate information concerning a document processed by the document processing device. A client interface is included in the device service and is configured to perform at least one of (a) publishing an event to a plurality of clients based on at least one of a status of the document processing device and the information and (b) providing an instruction to the document processing device based on a message from one of the plurality of clients. One or more application services are in selective communication with the device service and at least one of the clients.

Abstract:

A method and configuration for interprocessor communication provides reduced latency and complexity, as well as the ability to simultaneously transfer different types of data. A multi-channel interface is disposed between a slave processor and a master processor, wherein the multi-channel interface has a low-latency channel for transferring low-latency information and a high-throughput channel for transferring high-throughput information. The master processor interrupts the slave processor when the master processor has control information to transfer to the slave processor. Interrupt driven notification and the multi-channel interface provide reliable, high-speed communication between dissimilar processors.

Abstract:

A computer, including a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions to be executed by the processor to generate a first map, based on vehicle sensor data, of a free space on a roadway in which a first vehicle can operate without contacting roadway edges and non-stationary objects on the roadway, the first map including roadway lane markings in an environment around the first vehicle, wherein the non-stationary objects include one or more second vehicles and generate a second map of free space in the environment around the first vehicle by determining B-splines corresponding to first roadway lanes based on the roadway lane markings and the roadway edges included in the first map. The instructions include further instructions to determine second roadway lanes based on determining locations of the non-stationary objects, determine combined roadway lanes based on the first roadway lanes and the second roadway lanes and operate the first vehicle based on the combined roadway lanes.

A computing system can determine a vehicle action based on determining a free space map based on combining video sensor data and radar sensor data. The computing system can further determine a path polynomial based on combining the free space map and lidar sensor data. The computing system can then operate a vehicle based on the path polynomial.
