Abstract:

A method is described of making a plurality of window frame members having different end use applications on a single production line. The method comprises the step of extruding from a single die plate a master window frame member having at least two flange portion extending therefrom. The method also comprises the step of cutting at least one flange portion at a predetermined location to create a functional frame member having a specific end use application.

Abstract:

A window frame member for inclusion in a window frame assembly is disclosed. The window frame member includes a channel shaped to accept an edge of a siding or sheathing product attached to a structure. The channel has sufficient depth to at least partially cover the siding or sheathing during expansion or contraction of the siding or sheathing. The window frame member also includes a first flange portion that may be used to attach the frame member to the structure. The window frame member also includes a second flange portion that cooperates with the channel to cover the siding or sheathing.

Abstract:

The claimed subject matter provides systems and/or methods that facilitate remotely controlling a wireless lighting module. The wireless lighting module can include a power source such as a battery, a solar cell, and the like as well as an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs). The LEDs can be controlled based upon a received input (e. g. , communicated by way of a radio frequency signal, an infrared signal,. . . ). For example, the input can be obtained from a remote control, a sensor, a differing wireless lighting module, an radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, and so forth. The input can be utilized to switch one or more LEDs on or off, change the intensity or color of illumination, modulate illumination, alter the direction of illumination, etc.

Abstract:

In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for providing intelligent power control in response to an external power interruption, causing a processor is in an electrical fixture to interrogate an external power control switch to gain an understanding of the switch's state, where prior to the external power interruption the electrical fixture may be powered by external power and where external power may be connected and disconnected by a user of the switch. In the event that the switch's state is determined to be such that it would normally pass power to the electrical fixture, the processor causes the electrical fixture to operate using a backup power supply. In the event that the switch's state is determined to be such that it would normally not pass power to the electrical fixture, the processor causes the electrical fixture to act as if the user of the switch has intentionally removed power. In response to a return of external power, powering the electrical fixture is then through external power where the user of the switch switches external power.
