Abstract:
A provisioning system includes an interactive display that provides graphical feedback to a craft worker, or user. The interactive display indicates to the user possible provisioning schemes and may also indicate actually provisioned paths. Graphical templates provide a visual indication of provisioning topologies and a variety of interactive display techniques, such as pull down menus, dialog boxes, color coding, icons, and affordances, for example, may be employed in conjunction with the graphical templates to provide visual cues regarding network provisioning to a user. A wizard may be employed to step a user through the provisioning process.

Abstract:
A catheter introducer includes a tube having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therethrough along a longitudinal axis of the tube for accommodating a catheter traveling along a longitudinal axis of the tube and a head portion coupled to the distal end of the tube. The head portion includes an aperture in fluid communication with the lumen at a proximal end thereof and a tip at a distal end thereof, an exterior surface extending from the proximal end thereof to an opening of the head portion along a first portion of the head portion and extending from the proximal end thereof to the tip along an opposing portion of the head portion and an interior surface extending from the aperture to the opening of the head portion along the first portion of the head portion and extending from the aperture toward the tip along the opposing portion of the head portion. The exterior surface circumferentially tapers from the proximal end to the distal end and the interior surface forms a channel for receiving a catheter passing through the lumen and the aperture, the channel being concave along at least one axis.

Abstract:
A shunt includes a first occlusion assembly and a second occlusion assembly. The first occlusion assembly includes a first occlusion fluid conduit that carries an inflation fluid from a fluid source to a first balloon of the shunt. The second occlusion assembly includes a second occlusion fluid conduit that carries an inflation fluid from a fluid source to a second balloon of the shunt. The first occlusion assembly includes a first color and the second fluid assembly includes a second color, distinct from the first color. The distinctive colorings of the first and second occlusion fluid conduits remain visible within an operative field during an endarterectomy procedure and allow a user to distinguish the first occlusion assembly from the second occlusion assembly during the procedure.

Abstract:
A load score system includes a metabolic sensor such as a heart rate sensor for a subject is configured to output metabolic data for the subject. A biomechanical load sensing subsystem for the subject is configured to output biomechanical load data. A speed sensor subsystem for the subject is configured to output speed data. One or more databases store zones and a weighting factor for each zone for metabolic data, biomechanical load data, and speed data. A performance module is responsive to the metabolic data, the biomechanical load data, and the speed data and the one or more databases and is configured to calculate a metabolic load score for the subject. A biomechanical load score for the subject and a speed load score for the subject are also calculated. An output module displays the subject's calculated metabolic, biomechanical, and speed load scores.

Method And System For Producing Cohesive Phrases From Fixed Phrases In A Natural Language System
A method filters natural language output including fixed phrases by determining sequentially, for each fixed phrase, whether the fixed phrase has occurred in a discourse history. The fixed phrase is passed to a target component if the fixed phrase does not occur in the discourse history. If the fixed phrase does occur in the discourse history, a subsumption lattice is searched for an expressive type associated with the fixed phrase that is licensed in a context of the discourse history. The fixed phrase is converted to a filtered phrase according a realization method of the licensed expressive type and the filtered phrase is passed to the target component.

Abstract:
A physiological status monitoring system includes a shirt and a stretchable circumferential band attached to the shirt. The stretchable band includes a respiration detector subsystem and signal transmission conductors. One or more sensors on the band are electrically connected to a signal transmission conductor. At least one sensor has an exposed electrode inside the shirt. The system includes a cover over the band and/or the one or more sensors. A connection subsystem on the band is electrically connected to the respiration detector subsystem and the signal transmission conductors and includes signal traces therefrom to a first connector accessible from outside the shirt. An electronics module is releasably attached to the shirt and includes a second connector which mates with the first connector. The electronics module includes a processing system and a transmitter. The remote display unit includes a receiver, a display, and a processing system.
