Abstract:

A precast composite flooring system utilizes girders and floor panels having steel lower structures placed in tension and concrete upper structures places in compression. Openings through a stem wall allow ducts, pipes, and conduits to be run therethrough. The system provides reduced weight over conventional precast or pour in place systems, allowing further reduction in the weight and size of other building components. The floor deck does not use tensioning strands, allowing openings to be formed at nearly any stage of construction and with reduced concern over cutting steel reinforcement. The floor panels and girders bolt together and bolt to a steel column frame, allowing for more efficient assembly.

A composite floor panel includes a frame assembly having a base plate, a plurality of first lateral supports secured to the base plate, and a plurality of second lateral supports secured to the base plate. The first lateral supports lie in a first plane and the second lateral supports lie in a second plane. The first plane and the second plane each intersect the base plate and the first plane is disposed at an angle relative to the second plane. The composite floor panel also includes a concrete portion coupled to and supported by the first lateral supports and the second lateral supports.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for automatic price monitoring of an online marketplace. The online marketplace is a virtual store (e.g., web-based) for buyers and sellers to exchange goods or products. A system includes a price monitoring module coupled to a market server, and buyer and seller devices. The price monitoring module retains a position garnered by a seller with the lowest price by periodically adjusting a subscribing seller's listing price to beat competing seller prices. The price monitoring module can be configured according to price parameters which gauge how much sellers are willing to concede. The price parameters can include, for example, a default listing price for a product, a decrement amount, a minimum listing price, and the like.

Abstract:

This game is a hide and go seek type party game with many variations. The game can accommodate any number of desired participants. The game is suitable for individuals ages five to ninety years old. The rules and playing instructions are presented on cassette tape. The recording artist speaks with a "transylvania" type accent, the accent most commonly used in older vampire movies. As the rules are given and the game is played, special effect original audio music is heard in the background. (FIG. 27) The sounds of an organ, heavy rain mixed with explosive thunder and crashing cymbals add an additional aura of uncertainty for the newly invited guests. The game is played with twenty five individual playing cards each with a common backside (FIG. 1). Only one card is designated as the vampire card (FIG. 2). The game has twenty four victim cards, each with different names and various causes of death associated with vampires (FIGS. 3 to 26).
