Abstract:

A down light fixture is assembled from parts that are substantially snap engageable and is installed through a ceiling orifice and supported by the ceiling without requiring permanent attachment to an existent support beam or the like. The light fixture comprises a can adapted to receive a lighting unit and installable through the ceiling orifice from its exposed side, and a decorative trim member removably and securely engageable with the can. The can is further provided with a flange on its free end that is positioned adjacent the exposed surface of the ceiling about the insertion orifice after the can has been inserted into the ceiling therethrough. The decorative trim member is rotatingly, removably and securely engageable with the flange to provide an exterior trim to the fixture. Several parts of the lighting fixture are removable and replaceable to vary the appearance of the light fixture without removal of such fixture from the ceiling.

Abstract:

A drop wire clamp for securing a drop wire having a messenger strand and a support wire and a method for securing the drop wire and for transferring the load of the drop wire to a support structure is provided. The clamp uses a helical spiral and an anchor for engaging and securing the drop wire. The support wire may be placed into the channel defined by the helical spiral by inserting the drop wire through an open end of the channel, by weaving the drop wire into openings between coils of the helical spiral or by deforming a malleable segment of the clamp to shape and form a helical spiral around the support wire. The clamp with engaged drop wire is fixed and supported to a support structure so that at least part of the load of the drop wire transfers to the structure.

A light fixture () is formed from a plurality of parts that are substantially snap engageable, thereby simplifying assembly and requiring few or no tools. A system and method provide rewards or loyalty incentives to card member customers. The system includes an enrolled card member customer database, an enrolled merchant database, a participating merchant offer database and a registered card processor. The registered card processor receives a record for charge for a purchase made with an enrolled merchant by an enrolled card member customer and uses the record of charge to determine whether the purchase qualifies for a rebate credit in accordance with an offer. If the purchase qualifies for a rebate credit, the registered card processor provides the rebate credit to an account of the enrolled card member customer. The registered card processor also provides for electronic notification of rewards offers in response to purchases conforming to a specific set of merchant criteria. The system provides a coupon-less way for merchants to provide incentives to customers, and notify customers of other available offers.
