I have also served on the board of Directors and the Executive Board in various compacities. As an active member of the Kinston Chamber of Commerce, I serve on the Board of Directors and as an ambassador for the Chamber. I am a member of Westminster United Methodist Church and serve on the finance committee. I am married to Melvin Hood and have two daughters, Shannon & Laurie and two grandaughters, Madison & Paytyn and one grandson, Bladen.
