Preparing the sterile field, prep and draping of the patient, assisting surgeon, anticipating, retracting, applying dressings, turning over cases, assisting with circulating duties within my scope of practice, filling case carts and call. I also was passionately involved in the direction of incoming students to the MCC Surgical Technology Program as a liaison and preceptor. While at SCA I also was trained to order and maintain sterile supplies. With technology ever changing I have learned how to adapt to new environments, and multi-task, while balancing a fast paced OR schedule.
