After I completed & graduated high school, I wanted to do something that would allow me to express my creative side through some type of art and color. So, after my father was transferred to Ohio, I sought out a way to do exactly that. I entered "Michael's School of Floral Design." I completed the necessary coursework and the school placed me with a florist almost immediately out of school. I was not making sufficient income and sought a way to supplement my income. I saw an ad for dance instructors with "Arthur Murray's School of Dance" & Fred Astaire's .<br/>Then in 1977, I was married. <br/><br/>Once my daughters were in high school, I did return to the work force in light industrial building fractional motors on an assembly line. When that company moved to Mexico, I returned to school and attended Ohio State Beauty Academy. I completed the required coursework and took my state board exams in Columbus OH.. This was how I was able to eventually open my own Salon & Day Spa ; Oasis Style & Spa, LLC in Findlay.
