Description:
Debra discovered the Eastern Shore during a two-year sailing trip that took her from Connecticut to Trinidad. It was October, and the warm weather, dramatic sunsets, and the sound of the returning geese captured her immediately. Twenty years later it still does. Debra spent many years as a marketing manager for companies including Godiva Chocolates and Pepperidge Farm. This marketing expertise came in handy when she moved to Easton and was involved in the purchase and redevelopment of several historic properties in town, including TalbotTown Shopping Center (one of Easton native Jim Rouse's first projects). It was a natural progression to become a realtor, since her firm builtfifty homes in the area. Debra loves the small town feel and historic nature of Easton, St. Michaels and Oxford. With over 600 miles of shoreline, Talbot County has long been a popular second home, tourism, and retirement area, giving it a surprising sophistication. With a host of great restaurants, the Avalon Theatre, Academy Art Museum, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, several golf courses, and an amazing number ofspecial events(Waterfowl Festival, Plein Air Festival, Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival, Chesapeake Film Festival, Classic Wooden Boat Show, Concours d'Elegance,Academy Art Museum'sJuried Craft Show, andChristmas in St. Michaels to name a few), there is always something to look forward to. Debra isgraduate of Duke University with an MBA from NewYork University. She has lived in California, New Jersey, Connecticut, and North Carolina, but Maryland is home.
