Abstract:
A storage unit includes a cabinet defining an interior and a door assembly, which has a first door section and a second door section. Each of the door sections is pivotably mounted to the cabinet for movement between an open position and a closed position. The first and second door sections prevent access to the interior of the cabinet when in the closed position and provide access to the interior of the cabinet when in the oven position. The storage unit also includes a link pivotably interconnected between the first and second door sections so as to synchronize movement of the first and second door sections between the open and closed positions. A biasing arrangement counterbalances the door assembly and maintains the first and second door sections in both the open position and closed position and positions therebetween.

Abstract:
A lightweight, portable table includes a table top defined by upper and lower plastic shells which capture a core and an apron assembly therebetween. The core is constructed from a lightweight material such as honeycomb paperboard, expanded foam or the like. The apron assembly supports the core and includes a plurality of frame members interconnected by corners. The corners include connection elements which extend into the ends of corresponding frame members to interconnect the frame members. A folding leg assembly supports the table top above a supporting surface and is pivotable between a first, operative position and a second, inoperative position. Mounting assemblies are interconnected to the bottom surface of the core and to the frame members in order to pivotably interconnect the leg assembly to the table top.

Abstract:
Electrified lounge furniture formed from joined furniture sections. Each furniture section includes a lounge back, a seat and a base. The seat is designed to be selectively pivotable away from the base. When the furniture sections are joined to each other, an electrical wiring assembly extends between the furniture sections to provide electrical power to each of the furniture sections. Each of the furniture sections includes at least one electrical outlet. The electrical wiring assembly is received on the base of each of the furniture sections and is concealed beneath the seat during normal usage. When the user desires access to the electrical wiring assembly, one or more of the seats can pivot away from the base to provide access to the electrical wiring assembly. After the electrical wiring assembly has been accessed, the seat can pivot back into contact with the base where it is securely held to both the base and the lounge back.

Abstract:
A movable tablet for use with a chair is disclosed. The movable tablet is part of a mounting assembly that allows the tablet to be used with different types of chairs. The mounting assembly includes a stationary pivot rod and an outer housing that surrounds the pivot rod. A lower bearing is positioned between the outer housing and a mounting plate secured to a back face of the tablet. A guide hub of the lower bearing travels within a guide track on the mounting plate secured to the tablet to limit the pivoting movement of the tablet. An upper bearing is positioned between the mounting plate and the tablet such that the upper and lower bearings are positioned between metallic elements of the mounting assembly. A friction disc is positioned within the mounting assembly to control and adjust the pivoting movement of the tablet relative to the stationary pivot bar.
A monitor lift mechanism that can be utilized in connection with a desk having a stationary work surface. The monitor lift mechanism is movable between a retracted position in which a monitor is positioned beneath the work surface, and an extended position in which the monitor is positioned above the work surface for viewing. The monitor lift mechanism includes a lift bar that is movable between a retracted position and an extended position through the use of a block and tackle pulley and lift cylinder arrangement. A latch mechanism holds the lift bar in the retracted position and can be released upon depression of a monitor door coupled to the lift bar.

Abstract:
A storage assembly adapted to be secured to a work surface includes an enclosure defining an interior, wherein the enclosure is adapted to be secured around an opening in the work surface. A platform is disposed within the enclosure, and a cover is connected to the enclosure and configured to enclose the interior of the enclosure. The cover is movable between a closed position and an open position, wherein the cover in the closed position forms a top wall for the enclosure, and wherein the cover in the open position exposes the platform. A movement control arrangement is connected between the enclosure, the platform and the cover. The movement control arrangement and the enclosure have cooperating guide slot structure for receiving and guiding the platform, and enabling raising and lowering of the platform within the enclosure in response to movement of the cover between the open and closed positions.

Abstract:
An article of seating furniture includes a base, a seat and a back. The back includes a reclining mechanism. The seat is interconnected with the reclining mechanism such that reclining movement of the back moves the seat forwardly and upwardly. When the back is fully reclined and the seat is fully raised, an upper surface of the seat is coplanar with an upper surface of the back. A footrest is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. When extended, the footrest is generally coplanar with the seat. The back includes a spine having a lower end pivotably interconnected with the base. The spine includes a seat mounting extension to which the seat is pivotably mounted. Mounting links between the seat and the base provide movement of the seat when the back is reclined. The base is pivotably mounted to a frame for movement between a horizontal orientation and a Trendelenburg orientation in which the back is lowered relative to the seat, and a latch between the frame and the base maintains the base in the desired orientation.
A desk system with power and/or communication capability includes a series of interconnected desk sections. Each desk section includes a pair of leg that support a worksurface, and one or more stanchions extend upwardly from the worksurface. A primary power distribution system is located below the worksurface. The primary power distribution system includes receptacles mounted to a beam that extends between the pair of legs. Openings are formed in the legs for enabling the primary power distribution system to pass from one desk section to another. Each stanchion defines an open interior and is mounted above an opening formed in the worksurface. Each stanchion includes a mounting plate, and one or more power and/or communication supply blocks are adapted for securement to the mounting plate. Flexible cords or cables extend from each mounting block through the opening in the worksurface, and are plugged into the receptacles or the primary power distribution system located below the worksurface.
