Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for operating a fuel vapor recovery system having a fuel tank isolation valve coupled between a fuel tank and a canister. Fuel vapors are purged from the fuel tank to a canister buffer over a plurality of purge pulses. The pulses are adjusted based on the buffer capacity, a purge flow rate, and a fuel tank pressure to improve control of canister loading and reduce air-to-fuel ratio disturbances.

Abstract:
A vehicle and a fuel system for a vehicle are provided. The fuel system has a fuel tank, a fuel fill inlet fluidly connected to the fuel tank to receive fuel dispensed from an external fuel supply device, and a recirculation line with a first end fluidly connected to the fuel fill inlet and a second end fluidly connected to the fuel tank. An ejector is positioned within the recirculation line. A valve fluidly connects the ejector to the fuel tank via a drain line. A method of fueling a vehicle is also provided.

Abstract:
Methods and systems are presented for operating a refueling valve of an evaporative emissions system. The methods and systems may attempt to reactivate a refueling valve that has stuck due to the refueling valve being exposed to liquid fuel. In one example, a voltage that is applied to the refueling valve may be increased to reactivate the refueling valve.

Abstract:
A vehicle assembly includes, among other things, a fuel inlet conduit configured to receive a fuel dispensing nozzle. The fuel inlet conduit opens to an inlet opening. A guard is configured to move back and forth between a blocking position that prevents insertion of the fuel dispensing nozzle through the inlet opening into the fuel inlet conduit, and an accessing position that permits insertion of the fuel dispensing nozzle through the inlet opening into the fuel inlet conduit.
Truck Bed With Selectively Actuated Magnetic Floor Sections
A pick-up truck bed having controllably magnetized areas for retaining cargo or attachment devices. A first permanent magnet may be attached below the lower surface of the truck bed with a second permanent being rotatable relative to the first permanent magnet to control the magnetic flux provided to retain objects in the truck bed. Alternatively, one or more electromagnets may be provided that may be turned on to retain objects in the truck bed and turned off to allow removal of objects.
A method for operating a vehicle with an internal combustion engine is provided that includes regulating a pressure in a fuel tank by scheduling an engine start-up event based on a rate of change of the fuel tank pressure to reduce fuel tank venting emissions, where the rate of change of the fuel tank pressure is determined based on an ambient temperature and an in-tank pressure.

Abstract:
Example methods and apparatus to ensure grounding between vehicles during a vehicle-to-vehicle refueling operation are described herein. An example vehicle described herein is to receive fuel from a refueling vehicle via a vehicle-to-vehicle refueling operation. The example vehicle includes a fuel tank having a vent passageway, a valve coupled to the vent passageway, and a controller to close the valve if the vehicle and the refueling vehicle are not electrically coupled during the vehicle-to-vehicle refueling operation.

Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for conducting diagnostics to indicate whether a fuel system and/or an evaporative emissions system of a vehicle has a source of undesired evaporative emissions, or not. In one example, a method comprises conducting such a diagnostic via evacuating the fuel system to a target vacuum, then sealing the fuel system from atmosphere and monitoring a pressure bleed-up in the fuel system, and dynamically adjusting a pressure bleed-up threshold responsive to one or more conditions that impact the pressure bleed-up during the diagnostic, and indicating undesired evaporative emissions responsive to the pressure bleed-up reaching the adjusted pressure bleed-up threshold. In this way, interpretation of the results of such a diagnostic may be more robust, completion rates may improve, and engine operation may be improved.

Excel vs. AI: Udemy Vies For A Chunk Of The $3.9 Trillion Education Market
revealed in May that its top ten instructors earned $1.65 million over the course of a year. Given Udemys revenue model, the company took in less than half that from the same set of instructors. Dennis Yang, the companys President and COO, says that 2012 revenue has grown five times compared to 2011.
