Abstract:

Systems and cold rotational molding methods are provided for making hollow, foam-backed polymeric molded articles. The molded articles can be manikins or manikin parts, or other articles, such as frames (e. g. for mirrors and pictures), urns, fixtures, furniture, display props, and garden furniture, made of a thermosetting elastomeric material. The articles are more structurally rigid than previous molded articles utilizing the same amount of polymer material, lighter in weight than previous molded articles having the same structural rigidity, and more resistant to deformation under temperatures up to 180 to 185 F. The process of making a molded manikin part, from the first injection of polymer into the mold until demolding of the finished part, can be completed in as short a time as 18 minutes without the necessity for cradling of the demolded part, even when the part requires one or more flat surfaces.

Abstract:

A system for generating a product subgroup map for a product adjacency group with transition summary reporting is disclosed. In one example, a user interface is configured for presenting data on product subgroups and receiving user inputs for user-editable mapping criteria for mapping the product subgroups. The user interface has user-selectable options for editing and assigning priority values to the mapping criteria of the product subgroups. The system generates a combined set of mapping criteria for the user-selected product subgroups based on the user-edited mapping criteria and non-user-editable mapping criteria. The system generates a product subgroup map based on the combined set of mapping criteria and a set of physical store layout data for at least one store, and provides a graphical output of the product subgroup map. The system generates a report for the product subgroup map for the product adjacency group.

Abstract:

Joints are provided for connecting first and second manikin parts. The joints can be partially opened like a clamshell by pivoting the parts on a point on the joint interface. They include first and second joint assemblies attached to the first and second manikin parts respectively. The joint assemblies comprise a stretch element such as a spring or an elastomeric cord, and are capable of detachably engaging with each other. The joints can rotate in a primary rotational direction, for example to move a detachable manikin leg closer to the other manikin leg so that the manikin can quickly and easily be dressed in a pair of slacks. Rotation in a secondary direction is also provided to enable the manikins to be easily assembled by customers so that the manikin parts can be shipped separately. Components and methods of making and using the joints are also provided.

Methods and systems are described for determining an image resource allocation for displaying content within a display area. An image or data capture device associated with a display device may capture an image of a space associated with the user or capture data related to other objects in the space. The viewing distance between the user and the display area (e.g., the display device) may be monitored and processed to determine and/or adjust the image resource allocation for content displayed within the display area. Abstract:

Various deployable valve frame device embodiments that can be implanted into a valvular annulus for receiving an artificial valve therein. The frame can have an anchoring bowl, an anchoring lip, and a neck coupling the anchoring bowl to the anchoring lip, the neck comprising a lumen defined therethrough, wherein the frame is expandable from an undeployed configuration to a deployed configuration.
