An air sealable and preferably air and water sealable container having an automatically actuable pressure equalizing valve primarily adapted for operation upon opening and closing of the container. The pressure equalizing valve, which is in the nature of a pressure relief valve, is automatically actuable to allow air pressure in the container to equalize with an ambient pressure to enable easy opening of a lid of the container.
Air Sealable Container With Automatically Actuable Pressure Equalizing Valve
An air sealable and preferably air and water sealable container having an automatically actuable pressure equalizing valve primarily adapted for operation upon opening and closing of the container. The pressure equalizing valve, which is in the nature of a pressure relief valve, is automatically actuable to allow air pressure in the container to equalize with an ambient pressure to enable easy opening of a lid of the container.
A dispensing pump coupled with a container has a pump body having an end coupled with a button cap. The button cap has a spray nozzle and a pump chamber that contains fluid to be dispensed through the spray nozzle. Inside the pump body is a plunger, a stationary tube with fingers, a biasing member, and a duckbill valve with a slit. When the plunger is in an extended position, the fingers act against the plunger to close the slit of the duckbill valve. As the button cap is depressed, the plunger translates to a depressed position thereby allowing the fingers to spread apart from the duckbill valve and open up the slit such that fluid from the container can fill up the pump chamber. The biasing member urges the plunger back to the extended position, thereby urging the opposed fingers to return to the closed position.
An electronic enclosure case comprised of first and second case sections or so-called "shells" having mating abuttable rims. A plurality of spaced apart hooks extend outwardly from the rim on one of the case sections and are adapted for insertion into openings formed in the rim of the opposite case section. The hooks and the openings are sized and shaped so that the hooks will extend into the openings to enable the rims to abut against one another. When one of the case sections is thereafter moved in a plane parallel to the surface of the rims relative to the other case section, the hooks become latched in the openings and, there is a tight fitting retention of the two case sections so that the electronic enclosure casing cannot be unauthorizedly opened. The hooks and the openings are further constructed so that by squeezing the side walls on one of the case sections, the hooks will become released from the openings. In this way, only those parties having knowledge of the means for opening the case will have access to the interior thereof.
A container construction which includes a pair of mating shells and in which a perimeter seal may be optionally used to provide a fluid tight seal and preferably a water tight seal surrounding an interior compartment of the container when the two shells are disposed upon one another. One of the shells is provided with an outwardly struck rim and a perpendicularly located shoulder. The second of the shells is also provided with an outwardly struck rim and also provided with a perpendicularly arranged shoulder such that the rim on one shell will match and abut against the shoulder on the first of the shells and the rim of the first of the shells will abut the shoulder of the second of the shells. The seal is provided with a unique construction so as to match the rim arrangement between the shells and when used therewith, will provide a water or fluid tight seal to the interior of the container.
