Abstract:
A radio controlled scale model of a low rider vehicle including a chassis and first and second axels supported on the chassis, a lift assembly includes the chassis being provided with guide structure for maintaining the transverse orientation of the front axle while allowing movement of the axle relative to the chassis within a plane perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the chassis. The lifting action is accomplished by a solenoid whose push rod presses on a pivotable "L" shaped lever arm which in turn presses on the front axle causing the chassis and attached vehicle body to rise when activated and fall when released simulating a low rider "hop". The power supply located in the trunk portion of the vehicle acts as a counter balance so that the front wheels lift easily. The rear wheels are independently driven by separate motors so that when both motors are activated the vehicle the vehicle moves in a straight direction and when either motor is activated independently the vehicle turns to the left or right. Continuous activation of either motor results in a spinning action of the vehicle.

Abstract:
A hopping model car includes a body, a pair of vertically adjustable rear wheels mounted near the rear of the body, a pair of vertically movable front wheels mounted near the front of the body, and an actuator connected to the front wheels. The car is balanced to have a center of gravity slightly in front of a rear axle. To use, the rear wheels are adjusted downwardly to raise the rear end of the car. The front wheels are quickly extended downwardly to propel the front end of the car into the air. The car is balanced for hopping with less power consumption and a less powerful actuator, and for causing the front end to fall realistically slowly.

Abstract:
In a cargo container lifting crane employing a lifting spreader for lockingly suspending a cargo container by means of four corner twist locks, an improved electrical interlock system for interlocking the twist lock manual control switch located in the cab of the lifting crane, said interlock system including normally closed, parallel connected proximity switches which are disposed adjacent the twist locks of the lifting spreader and which are connected to a relay whereby the relay is de-energized to close a relay circuit which supplies power to the twist lock manual control switch when all of the four corner proximity switches indicate full engagement of all twist locks into the corresponding locking parts of the cargo container. An adjustable time delay is provided between full lifting spreader engagement and application of control switch power, and a by-pass switch is provided for overriding the interlock system. Also, indicating and alarm lights and horn are provided to alert crane maintenance and supervisory personnel, as well as the crane operator, of certain operating and alarm conditions in respect to the interlock system.
A magnetically activated disc has a flat bipolar ring magnet mounted concentrically on the upper surface of the disc. The bottom surface of the disc has a protruding center point which provides an axis around which the disc can spin. The disc has a sidewall on the upper surface extending upwardly around the circumference of the disc to form an open cavity for holding a removable disc having a design imprinted on its upper surface. An external permanent magnet is manipulated so that its magnetic field acts upon the bipolar ring magnet, thereby causing the disc to spin around the protruding center point so that the disc with the imprinted design produces a desired visual effect.
