Lexington's Ed Webster recalls his Everest treks
view source- Be whatever it may, Dorothea Webster came home from the Lexington library one day in 1967 toting Everest Diary, written by Lute Jerstad, and her sons career path was all but carved in mountain stone. Inspired by Jerstads words, Webster climbed Everest three times in the 1980s, his best attempt Dorothea Webster, who unknowingly launched her sons career with her trip to the library, is now 91 and lives in a retirement community not all that long a hike from where her son summited those backyard trees.
