Abstract:

An impact reset mechanism and method that automatically resets a spray arch in a vehicle washing system to permit operation of the vehicle wash system after the spray arch has broken away from its rigid, operating position due to contact with a vehicle. The impact reset mechanism includes a bias member that exerts a bias force on a pair of mounting blocks used to support the spray arch. When the spray arch contacts the vehicle, the spray arch pivots one of the mounting blocks. The pivoting movement of the mounting block is sensed and relayed to a control unit. The control unit immediately stops the wash process and moves the spray arch away from the vehicle. The control unit automatically resets the wash process and begins washing the next vehicle without resuming manual intervention.

Abstract:

A mirror includes a glass layer having a front surface and a rear surface and a reflective layer disposed on the rear surface of the glass layer. The reflective layer includes a first opening exposing the rear surface inward of a first boundary. The mirror also includes a mounting structure for a lighting assembly affixed to the rear surface that includes a surface substantially enclosing a volume and a housing attached to the surface and disposed within the volume. The mirror also includes a light source affixed to a first surface of the housing. The mirror also includes a light guide affixed to a second surface of the housing by a section of compressible foam, the section of compressive foam having a first adhesive layer affixed to the housing and a second adhesive layer affixed to the light guide. A first end surface of the light guide is proximate to the light source.

Abstract:

A toilet seat assembly that includes a docking station comprising a body and an electrical contact coupled to the body; a hinge lock configured to couple the body to a toilet base, the hinge lock comprising a fastener engaging an opening in the body and having a bore; a hinge body coupled to the body, such that an electrical contact of the hinge body is electrically connected to the electrical contact of the docking station; a seat and/or a lid rotatably coupled to the hinge; and an electronic component housed on/in the hinge body, the seat, and/or the lid, where the electronic component is electrically connected to the electrical contact of the hinge body and is configured to receive electric power from an electrical wire configured to route through the bore in the fastener to electrically connect to the electrical contact of the docking station.
