Detective Nick Burkhardt learns he's the descendent of a long line of Grimms, people with the ability to see the true nature of those around them. Using his recently discovered ability, Nick and his partner Hank crack cases with the help of Eddie Monroe, a reformed "big bad wolf."shapeshifter wearing a pair of boots similar worn by the killer in the woods and sneaks up on the man later that night. The shapeshifter catches Nick and tells him he knows he's a Grimm. However, the shifter, a man named Eddie Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), insists he had nothing to do with the missing girl." He's since put in time on a number of legitament scripted dramas such as "Nip/Tuck" and "Veronica Mars." A big, bad wolf is tearing girls to itsy-bitsy bloody pieces. Nick thinks hes found the culprit in Eddie Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell, Prison Break), but he gets his first lesson in demonology: Not all wolves are cut from the same fur.

NBC's 'Grimm' puts the gruesome back in Grimm's Fairy Tales
Not all the demons that Burckhardt can detect are villains. Silas Greer Mitchell (My Name is Earl) plays Eddie Monroe, a werewolf-like monster who helps the detectives track down the perpetrator. "These types of demons exist in the real world. It's just that Grimms can see them for what they really
