Abstract:

A system for indicating whether an agent or agency has met the requirements specified by a licensing entity according to criteria specified by the licensing entity. Information respecting the agent or the agency is input into the system including licensing status and status of continuing education requirements. The system can be used by entities such as banks or brokerages to verify appropriate licenses have been obtained and are maintained in force. The system can also be used to prompt agents or agencies to obtain necessary upcoming requirements for certifications. The system can be used in a multi-user environment and can be distributed across a network of computers.

Abstract:

A stand alone container for housing dehydrated foodstuff and for use in a foodstuff machine has a continuous sidewall with first and second ends forming a storage area. A piston is complementarily positioned within the sidewall proximate the first end and is slidable with respect to the sidewall. The container contains dehydrated foodstuff located in the storage area and a removable cover positioned proximate the second end. The foodstuff machine includes a machine housing having an access opening for receiving the container having dehydrated foodstuff therein. A hydrating and positioning system moves from a loading position when the container is in the access opening to a hydrating position with the container second end above the first end and then to a transfer position where the first end is positioned above the second end. A liquid dispenser is positioned above the container when the container is in the hydrating position. The foodstuff machine has a transfer arm having an operative end for receiving the container and is movable from a first position that supports the container in the transfer position to an extrusion position where the container is located over a cooking station. A piston rod is operatively associated with the piston in the container and moves to force the piston toward the second end of the container to force hydrated foodstuff through the die to form uncooked strips which drop into the cooking station.

Abstract:

A trimming mechanism for an overedge sewing machine includes an elongated cutter arm driven in oscillatory movement to drive a movable cutting blade which cooperates with a fixed cutting blade to trim material passed through the sewing machine. An improved cutting blade mounting means is provided for simultaneously mounting the movable cutter blade on the driven cutter arm and automatically aligning the movable blade for cooperation with the fixed blade.

Abstract:

A medical erection device to treat impotency in men provides a detachable pump portion and a safety valve to prevent over-depressurization. Cooperating guide rails permit the pump portion to be detachable from the vacuum cylinder. The pump has an extremely short stroke and is operated by a handle parallel to the axis of the vacuum cylinder to provide for easy, one-handed operation. A constrictor ring is provided to inhibit the return flow of blood from the penis to sustain the erection once achieved.

A foodstuff vending machine has a vending housing includes a processing container for containing and processing of a foodstuff. A receiving basket is provided for receiving the foodstuff from the processing container. A dispensing mechanism is provided for dispensing the received foodstuff. The receiving basket has an operable surface with a closed position for preventing the received foodstuff from passing therethrough. The receiving basket also has an open position for permitting the received foodstuff to pass through to the dispensing mechanism. Abstract:

A roll coin dispenser is extremely narrow and occupies a vacant space between adjacent slot machines. The dispenser changes paper bills into coinage. Loading and access to all internal components of the changer are through the front of an enclosing cabinet which is unobstructed by adjacent slot machines. A coin storage section of the changer includes a multi-cartridge loading and dispensing mechanism in order to permit fast and accurate reloading of the machine by someone who is physically capable of lifting only small weights.

A sewing machine has a movable feed member for feeding articles to a stitch-applying station, and a trimmer for cutting chains of stitches which dangle from articles on the outfeed side of the stitch-applying station. The feed member and trimmer are driven from the same drive shaft. The trimmer drive includes a swinging crank which is connected to a rotary cam by a one-way clutch, one-way clutches which support the rotary cam and permit it to rotate only in the direction it is driven by the crank, and a rocker arm which has one end driven by the cam and another end drivingly connected to the trimmer.

Abstract:

A shaft driven overedge sewing machine is lubricated by a pump mounted on a driven shaft which supplies lubricating oil from the machine's sump through an oil passage in the pump mounting shaft. The pump body is mounted for free rotation relative to the shaft and normally retained against rotation, upon rotation of the shaft, and a spring pressed plunger carried by the pump body cooperates with an eccentric cam surface on the shaft to pump oil from the machine sump into the oil passage in the driven shaft to lubricate shaft bearings and the like.
