Abstract:

According to one embodiment of the invention, a computerized method for managing a plurality of data protection rules includes receiving and storing the data protection rules in a database, receiving and storing a plurality of permissions generated by a data owner in the database, accepting a query from a data requester with respect to a particular set of data, accessing the database to validate that a permission exists for the data requester, accessing the database to validate that the particular set of data may be accessed by the data requester, and generating a response to the query.

Abstract:

An online list generation process includes a product database having a product list that itemizes products offered for sale by a merchant. A user interface allows a potential customer to access the product database and retrieve at least a portion of the product list. A user selection process enables the potential customer to select one or more of the individual products itemized in the retrieved portion of the product list. A shopping list is generated that itemizes the individual products that the potential customer intends to pick up from the merchant's place of business.

Abstract:

A method, system, and computer program product for measuring and assessing an organization's business adaptability is provided. In one embodiment, a taxonomy comprising a hierarchical list of taxonomy indicators that captures organizational elements that can be used to measure an organization's responsiveness to change is created. The taxonomy indicators are industry specific. A set of weights associated with the elements of the taxonomy, indicating a relevant contribution of each element to an overall adaptability of an organization, is assigned. The set of weights are industry specific. An enterprise profile is created assigning a level of adaptability to each taxonomy indicator indicating where, in a range of scores from low to high, an enterprise rates relative to the relevant taxonomy indicator. An adaptability result of the organization from the weights, taxonomy, and enterprise profile is then calculated. The adaptability result provides a quantitative assessment of the organization's adaptability.

Abstract:

One aspect of the invention is a method for achieving data consistency in an enterprise resource planning system. A first set of structural data is received and sent to two or more enterprise resource planning systems. The enterprise resource planning systems are associated with a single business or a related group of businesses and each maintains its own structural data. The sending of the first set of structural data is operable to cause each of the enterprise resource planning systems to create or change their own structural data.
