Abstract:
A satellite vehicle compensation system ( ) predicts the motion of two satellite vehicles and enhances the predictions with real-time updates of one or both of the vehicles. Using feedback loops ( ), the differences between the prediction and the actual motions are looped back to improve the accuracy of the motion predictor.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a network connectivity system and method that facilitate the design of a network connectivity plan where the availability of link resources is limited and varies with the time. The preferred system and methods can be used to provide a network connection plan that fully connects such a network, where possible, while efficiently allocating the link resources used to implement the network connection plan. The network connectivity system and method develops the network connection plan by choosing links based on link resource availability and link duration. Thus, the network connectivity system and method creates a connection plan that, if possible, keeps full connectivity in the network, compensating for changes over time in the availability of links. The network connectivity system thus provides the ability to efficiently connect dynamic networks in a way that facilitates the routing of data to between nodes in the communication network.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for efficiently transmitting packetized data from a sender to a receiver over a communications link. A compression context is established between the sender and the receiver based upon commonalities in each of the data packets prior to transmitting the data over the communications link. The data is compressed according to the compression context to thereby create compressed data packets, and the compressed data packets are transmitted to the receiver across the communications link. By establishing compression contexts prior to transmission, the need for in-band signaling is reduced or eliminated.

Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) device and associated operating techniques can be utilized to manage the queuing of network service requests in a distributed manner throughout a data communication system. The request queuing methodology leverages request queues maintained at UE devices within the system. An embodiment of a UE device that supports such request queuing includes a processor and a request queue coupled to the processor. The request queue is configured to queue one or more requests for network resources as instructed by the processor, resulting in one or more held requests. The UE device also includes a receiver element coupled to the processor. The receiver element is configured to receive a notification from the network communication component, where, in response to receiving the notification, the processor prepares the one or more held requests for transmission to the network communication component at different times.

Abstract:
A restricted coded modulator apparatus (100, FIG. 1) is used to assign binary digits to symbols such that an error in one or more binary digits in an M-ary modulation format are the most likely. A parallel concatenated convolutional code is then applied to one or more digits of the symbol before transmitting the symbols across a communications channel (190, FIG. 1). At the receiving end, the one or more binary digits of the symbols and the associated error correction information are decoded by way of a parallel concatenated convolutional decoder (200, FIG. 4). The corrected information is then used to correct errors in other binary digits of the received symbol.
