A substantially transparent thermal barrier for use in an opening between a refrigerated area and an adjacent area having a significantly higher temperature is suspended by its upper margin from a header. The barrier is formed of a plurality of strips positioned adjacent to each other, each strip including at least two sheets of substantially transparent material fixed to each other so as to define a plurality of channels extending from the upper end to the lower end of each strip, with at least the upper ends of the channels being open. The header directs a flow of warmed and/or dried air into the upper end of the plurality of channels, the air preferably being taken from the colder of the two adjacent areas separated by the curtain. The air is warmed to a temperature about midway between the temperatures of the two areas separated by the curtain. As the air proceeds downward through the length of the channels, the air generally does not significantly change its temperature, and as a result, the warmed air flowing downward through the channels is delivered at the lower end of the strip at the same temperature as at the top of the strip.

Abstract:
A two-piece dispensing cap for a container has a body and an insert mounted for rotation within the body. The body has a sidewall defining a cylindrical chamber with an open first end and an end wall forming a partially closed second end. The body sidewall has an inlet while the body end wall has an axial opening, a non-axial outlet, and a protruding flange for attachment to a container mouth. The insert is received into open first end of the cylindrical chamber. The insert has a peripheral wall dimensioned to conform to the cylindrical housing interior surface and a first insert end wall including a protruding handle extending through the axial opening in the body end wall. The insert includes openings to permit filling of the insert from the container and dispensing of the contents of the insert. An insert second end wall is integrally formed with a hinge to the insert peripheral wall while an over-cap is integrally formed with a hinge to the body portion.

Abstract:
A desk chairmat includes a substantially planar member having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a peripheral edge; the planar member having at least one foot massage area in a selected part thereof; and a foot massage panel secured within the selected area, the foot massage insert having a base and a plurality of upwardly projecting foot massage nodules. The foot massage panel may also be in the form of a peel and stick pad that is adhesively secured to the upper surface of the desk chairmat.

Abstract:
A tensioner device for applying tension to a flexible fence slat includes a bracket assembly having attachment webs for attachment to a fence post and a pair of vertically spaced, horizontally oriented flanges. A tensioning cylinder is mounted for rotation within a pair of apertures provided, respectively, in the horizontally oriented flanges, the tensioning cylinder formed with a through-slot extending longitudinally between a pair of radial flanges. The through-slot has a length substantially equal to a width of the flexible fence slat and adapted to receive one end of the fence slat. A ratchet wheel is formed at one end of the cylinder, between one of the radial flanges and one of the horizontally oriented flanges, and a pawl is pivotably mounted on the adjacent one of the horizontally oriented flanges for engagement with the ratchet so as to permit rotation of the tensioning cylinder in a tensioning direction but to prevent rotation of the tensioning cylinder in an opposite direction. A finger tab on the pawl facilitates moving the pawl into or out of engagement with the ratchet.

Edward Robbins, a criminal tax lawyer with Hochman, Salkin, Rettig, Toscher & Perez in Los Angeles, said that in imposing lighter sentences, judges appear to be taking into account large penalties paid by defendants.
"The government understands that in order to flush out another batch of noncompliant foreign account holders along the lines of what happened with UBS, it must take down other banks following the UBS template," said Edward Robbins, a former assistant U.S. attorney for tax matters and now a lawyer fo
