Suspect in Ashland murders confesses to Marion County killing
Grate was arrested September 13 after a woman called 911 and she said was being held inside a home in Ashland. That is when police found the remains of 43-year-old Stacey Stanley and 29-year-old Elizabeth Griffin.

Dispatcher who handled 911 call before Josh Powell murder-suicide reprimanded ...
Supervisors found that dispatcher David Lovrak, an 18-year veteran, failed to grasp how serious the situation was after taking the call from case worker Elizabeth Griffin-Hall on Feb. 5, according to documents obtained by the Salt Lake Tribune through a public records request.

911 dispatcher in Powell murder-suicide reprimanded
On February 5, Elizabeth Griffin-Hall, a a child protective services case worker handling the case of Charlie and Braden Powell, called 911 and said she had been locked out of the children's father, Josh Powell's home. She told the dispatcher she feared for the lives of the children.
Lovrak took the 911 call on Feb. 5, after Powell locked out social worker Elizabeth Griffin-Hall, who was supposed to supervise a visit with his sons, Charlie, 7, and Braden, 5, at his rental home in Graham, Wash.
Powell, 36, attacked his sons with a hatchet Feb. 5 before killing the three of them in a fiery explosion at his Graham-area rental home as visit supervisor Elizabeth Griffin-Hall, locked out of the house by Powell, haggled with a 911 operator.
