I was awarded the designation of Departmental Honors in Print Journalism for the submission and defense of my senior thesis paper entitled, "Blogging & The New Journalism." Over the course of my senior semester, I conducted extensive field research in the area of digital journalism, citizen journalism, social media and the evolving state of business for print and digital journalism. I explored the complexity of journalism 2.0 and the inevitable rebirth of a community-based, grass-roots style of journalism that is projected on a universal, social media driven platform.
