Abstract:

A thrust bearing () for transmitting axial thrust forces between at least two gear parts () rotating relative to each other in a gear arrangement is provided, with two coaxial, opposing race disks () holding a cage () with a plurality of roller bodies () with radial play. To prevent discharge of lubricant to the greatest possible extent radially from the thrust bearing () and accordingly to be able to guarantee a sufficient axial supply of lubricant to the gear arrangement, it is provided that one race disk () has a smaller outer diameter than the other race disk (), that both race disks () each have external collars () on the radially outer edge that extend axially inwardly, and the external collar () of the race disk () with the smaller outer diameter is covered axially by the external collar () of the race disk () with the greater outer diameter, such that an extensive encapsulation of the thrust bearing () against lubricant passage is guaranteed.

Abstract:

An axial rolling bearing () including a cage () which contains rolling bodies () and which is arranged between two running disks () is provided, wherein the running disks () have in each case one radial section () which forms a raceway and in each case one axially aligned radially outer rim () which adjoins the radial section (), which rim () and radial section () overlap in the axial direction. The radially outer running disk () has a larger diameter than the radially inner running disk (), and at least the radially inner running disk () has a radially inner axially extending rim which adjoins the radial section () which forms the raceway. In order to be able to adjust the throughflow quantity of lubricant through the axial rolling bearing in a targeted fashion, it is provided that the radially inner rim () of the inner running disk () extends axially outward and is elongated so as to form a flange (). The cage () has a radially outer section () which is supported against the radially outer rim () of the radially inner running disk (), and the cage () has a radially inner section () which is angled so as to form an axially outwardly aligned rim (). The flange () of the radially inner running disk () and the rim () of the cage () are formed to have the same axial direction in order to form a labyrinth seal.

Abstract:

A thrust needle bearing with an isolating layer has a cage with rollers, washers on which the rollers run, at least one of the washers is attached to the cage, backup surfaces fixed external to each of the washers and an isolating layer attached to at least one of the washers, which is interposed between the at least one of the washers and at least one of the backup surfaces of the bearing. The isolating layer is a layer of vibration-attenuating material. Alternatively, the isolating layer is a layer of material which has properties that prevent creep or sliding wear for at least one of the backup surfaces. The isolating layer is attached to the washers by bonding, use of adhesives or mechanical means.

A sealing unit for sealing a shaft to a housing includes a sealing ring with a first surface for non-rotational engagement with the housing and a flow groove including an axially aligned portion at least partially disposed in the first surface. In some example embodiments, the sealing ring includes a second surface for sealing engagement with the shaft. In an example embodiment, the sealing ring includes a rectangular cross-section, in a radial plane, with first and second axially opposed radial faces, and the flow groove includes a radially aligned portion at least partially disposed in the first and second radial faces. In an example embodiment, the sealing ring has a circular cross-section, in a radial plane, with a center point, and a depth of the groove is greater at a radial line passing through the center point than at a radial line tangent to the sealing ring.
