Abstract:

The method of the invention controls a computer to automatically enter user registration data, upon occurrence of a dialogue box. The computer includes a database which stores instances of data defining characteristics of windows that enable entry of user data so as to enable further execution of the program. The method initially monitors programs that execute on the computer and signals an occurrence of at least one of a set of events, wherein one of the set of events is the creation of a newly activated window. In response to a signalling of the event, the method determines if the event signalled is an activation of window (i. e. a dialogue box) and if yes, finds the newly activated dialogue box's identifier. The method then accesses descriptive data regarding the newly activated dialogue box and determines if it matches an instance of dialogue box data in the database. If yes, the method accesses user identification data from a secure storage area and, under control of data from the instance of the dialogue box data, enters the user identification data into the newly activated dialogue box to allow further execution of the program.

Abstract:

A method, useful in computer-aided design, for finding configurations of collections of geometric elements representing shapes of physical objects that satisfy a set of geometric constraints, when these constraints relate to topological properties of the geometric elements. In particular, the invention relates to a method that classifies the geometric elements in terms of degrees of freedom, categorizes topological properties in terms of biases, and synthesizes a solution by progressively reducing the total degrees of freedom in the system.

Abstract:

An automated system for administering food to laboratory animals housed in aquatic tanks includes a plurality of individual feeding units that independently communicate with a common feed management hub. Each feeding unit includes a rack for holding a collection of aquatic tanks and a wireless robotic feeder configured to move in three dimensions relative to the rack. The robotic feeder precisely meters and delivers liquid and/or dry food to each rack-mounted tank in accordance with user-modifiable feed schedules which are maintained by the feed management hub. To compensate for any adjustments to the particular arrangement of tanks within a feeding unit, the robotic feeder periodically scans the rack for tanks and transmits the scan data back to the feed management hub. Accordingly, the feed management hub ensures that the proper type of food is accurately and timely delivered to each aquatic tank in compliance with the stored feed schedules.

Abstract:

Methods, systems, and devices for 3D measurement and/or pattern generation are provided in accordance with various embodiments. Some embodiments include a method of pattern projection that may include projecting one or more patterns. Each pattern from the one or more patterns may include an arrangement of three or more symbols that are arranged such that for each symbol in the arrangement, a degree of similarity between said symbol and a most proximal of the remaining symbols in the arrangement is less than a degree of similarity between said symbol and a most distal of the remaining symbols in the arrangement. Some embodiments further include: illuminating an object using the one or more projected patterns; collecting one or more images of the illuminated object; and/or computing one or more 3D locations of the illuminated object based on the one or more projected patterns and the one or more collected images.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the invention provide a tank assembly with a main housing enclosing an inner volume, and an outlet section positioned extending from one end of the main housing that includes a front cavity with an outlet volume and an adjacent outlet channel. Some embodiments include at least one removable filter configured to be inserted at least partially into main housing forming at least a filtered volume and a fluidly coupled main volume. Some embodiments include a removable tank baffle including at least one central channel and a plurality of baffle apertures. In some embodiments, the central channel is configured to be fluidly coupled to the outlet channel when the removable tank baffle is positioned in the main housing. Further, the plurality of baffle apertures are configured to be fluidly coupled to the outlet volume when the removable tank baffle is positioned in the main housing.
