Abstract:
Method and system for managing and evaluating life science data. Life Science data is placed in a knowledge base, that may be used for a variety of analysis tasks. Creating a knowledge base from the life science data involves generating two or more nodes indicative of life science data, assigning to one or more pairs of nodes a representation descriptor that corresponds to a relationship between the nodes, and assembling the nodes and the relationship descriptor into a database, such that at least one of the nodes is joined to another node by a representation descriptor. In some embodiments, the representation descriptor includes a case frame that describes the relationships between elements of life science data.

The present invention provides methods and systems for developing profiles of a biological system based on the discernment of similarities, differences, and/or correlations between biomolecular components of a plurality of biological samples. Preferably, the method comprises utilizing hierarchical multivariate analysis of spectrometric data at one or more levels of correlation.

Abstract:
The present teachings relate to gaining insight into biological states, e.g., disease states or drugged states, by gathering, integrating, and combining biomolecular data. More particularly, the present teachings relate to methods and systems for profiling a state of a biological system, finding accessible biomarkers representative of the state of a biological system, and deriving insights into the biochemistry of a biological system for therapeutic, diagnostic, prognostic and other purposes.

Abstract:
A computer-implemented display of semantically characterized information can include cohort indicators representing a group of one or more specified cohort parameters applied in such a way so as to filter a dataset comprising RDF structured data items. Each cohort indicator can be associated with a set of RDF structured semantic predicates. At least one selectable facet value indicator can be included that represents one or more specified value parameters each being associated with a RDF structured semantic object. The one or more specified value parameters can be applicable to the dataset in such a way so as to enable additional filtering and modification of one or more of the resulting cohort groups of information. A visual display of filtered information can be included which results from separately applying, against the dataset, each group of one or more specified cohort parameters represented by each cohort indicator.
