Abstract:
Polycrystalline diamond inserts are disclosed. For example, a polycrystalline diamond insert may comprise a polycrystalline diamond layer affixed to a substrate at an interface. In addition the polycrystalline diamond layer may comprise: an arcuate exterior surface, a first region including a catalyst and a second region from which the catalyst is at least partially removed. Further, the arcuate exterior surface may be defined by a portion of the first region including the catalyst and a portion of the second region from which the catalyst is at least partially removed. In another embodiment, the polycrystalline diamond layer may include a convex exterior surface for contacting a subterranean formation, wherein at least a portion of a catalyst used for forming the polycrystalline diamond layer is removed from a region of the polycrystalline diamond layer. Subterranean drilling tools (e. g. , percussive drill bits) including at least one polycrystalline diamond insert are disclosed.

Superabrasive Inserts Including An Arcuate Peripheral Surface
Superabrasive inserts are disclosed. More particularly, a superabrasive insert may comprise a superabrasive layer bonded to a substrate at an interface. Further, the superabrasive layer may include a central substantially planar surface, a peripheral side surface, and an arcuate peripheral surface extending between the central substantially planar surface and the peripheral side surface. In one embodiment, the arcuate peripheral surface may comprise a lateral extent and an extension depth, wherein a ratio of the lateral extent to the extension depth is at least about 1. 5. In another embodiment, an arcuate peripheral surface may comprise a substantially circular arc, wherein the substantially planar surface is tangent to the substantially circular arc and a tangent reference line to the substantially circular arc forms an angle of at least about 10 with the peripheral side surface. Subterranean drilling tools (e. g. , drill bits) including at least one superabrasive insert are disclosed.

System And Method For Detecting And Repairing Defective Memory Cells
One embodiment provides a memory module that enables online repair of defective memory cells. The memory module includes a memory array storing data, a self-test controller coupled to the memory array and configured to perform a self-test on a region within the memory array without interrupting operations of the memory module, and a memory-repair module configured to repair a defective memory cell identified by the self-test controller.
System And Method For Detecting Memory Cell Disturbance By Monitoring Canary Cells
One embodiment provides a memory module. The memory module includes a plurality of rows of memory cells, with a respective row comprising one or more canary memory cells that are more susceptible to disturbance than non-canary memory cells, and a disturbance-detection circuit coupled to at least one canary memory cell of a corresponding row and configured to output a control signal in response to the disturbance to the canary memory cell exceeding a predetermined threshold.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for binding one or more components to an identification component of a hardware module. Each of the serial numbers for the one or more components are included within a module-specific authentication certificate that is stored within the identification component of the hardware module. When connected to a computing platform, an authentication system of the computing platform is capable of retrieving the module-specific authentication certificate. The authentication system can compare the list of serial numbers included in the module-specific authentication certificate with one or more serial numbers read over a first interface. If the two lists of serial numbers match, the authentication system can flag the hardware module as authenticate through authentication of all components of the hardware module.
