Abstract:

Methods and systems for computing distance data for a structure. A scan surface that represents an inspection area of the structure is identified. A plurality of sample points on an outer surface identified from a model of the structure and a corresponding plurality of projected points on an inner surface identified from the model of the structure are generated using the scan surface, a first geometric representation of the outer surface, and a second geometric representation of the inner surface. Distance data is computed using the plurality of sample points and the corresponding plurality of projected points. The distance data identifies a distance between a point pair formed by a sample point of the plurality of sample points and a corresponding projected point of the corresponding plurality of projected points.

Abstract:

An agricultural vehicle including at least one threshing rotor and an auger bed located underneath the at least one threshing rotor. The auger bed has a working position and a cleaning position. The auger bed includes a frame, a plurality of augers rotatably coupled to and supported by the frame, and a trough portion moveably connected to the frame. In the working position the bottom surface of the trough portion is positioned underneath the plurality of augers and in the cleaning position the entire trough portion is moved relative to the frame so that the bottom surface of the trough portion is not positioned underneath at least a portion of the plurality of augers, creating an open space underneath the portion of the plurality of augers for allowing an unwanted material to pass therethrough.

Abstract:

An apparatus for forming a material layer onto a form tool may include at least one nosepiece configured to laterally sweep a ply carrier onto a form tool contour. The apparatus may include a pair of tension arms configured to support opposing lateral sides of a ply carrier having a material layer mounted to a lower surface thereof. The apparatus may include one or more actuators configured to position the tension arms during forming of the ply carrier to the form tool contour. The one or more actuators may be configured to sense and control lateral tension in the ply carrier during forming of the ply carrier to the form tool contour.
