I have been a licensed real estate agent for the last 14 years, and my niche market has been first-time homebuyers, although I have experience in numerous different transactions. I was born and raised in Champaign with a background of ten years, working in the legal field as a court clerk and a secretary to a real estate attorney and was a member of the Champaign County Legal Secretaries´ Association for approximately four years. I attended Parkland College to get my required course work for my real estate license, and was a closing agent for Coldwell Banker Devonshire from 1998-2000 preparing closings for approximately 45 agents in our office, being involved in hundreds of transactions over that three-year period. Also, involvement in transaction from the lender´s and title company´s perspective by closing loans as an independent closer for three title companies in Champaign, on a back-up basis lends itself to yet another angle on the real estate transaction that I am experienced with. I received the Quality Service Certificate (QSC) and the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) awards, and am a member of the national, state, and local Association of Realtors. I previously served as the Professional Development Chairman for Champaign County Association of Realtors. The Professional Development Chairman heads the Education, Designations and Risk Reduction, Equal Opportunity, and Special Projects Committees, and also served on the Governmental Affairs Committee locally.And I am partof areal estate team that became the #1 team in the Champaign, Danville, Mahomet, Urbana, and Monticello markets in that company, ahead of two teams that have been in business for over twenty years, andis in the top 3% of agents in that company internationally.
