Abstract:

A wheeled vehicle having the appearance of an insect, such as a spider, includes a main body portion housing a drive mechanism for propelling the vehicle across a suitable supporting surface. The drive mechanism is shiftable for operating a cord winch for pulling the vehicle or drawing objects toward the mouth of the spider. A plurality of legs are mounted to the body portion by flexible couplings which permit the legs to engage the supporting surface so that they move randomly, during movement of the vehicle, to simulate a crawling action. A cockpit provided on the rear portion of the body is covered by a transparent shield and provided with indicia to define the control quarters of a mechanical spider device.

Abstract:

A talking electronic game utilizes an integrated circuit voice synthesizer to generate a plurality of beginning phrases each forming the beginning of a complete phrase and a plurality of ending phrases each forming the end of the complete phrase. The beginning and ending phrases are assigned at random to a plurality of push buttons, and the object of the game is to match up the beginning and ending phrases of the various sentences by appropriate actuation of the various push buttons.

Abstract:

A multi-stage toy vehicle includes a front portion having wheel means supporting the vehicle for rolling movement and a separate, rear portion initially nested with the front portion and also having wheels for supporting the vehicle. A detachable connector is provided between the nested together portions of the vehicle for retaining the portions in a nested condition as the vehicle is initially launched from a launching device. A biasing element is provided for ejecting the front portion of the vehicle away from the rear portion after the vehicle is launched and rolling. The launching device provides an impact against the vehicle while the front and rear portions are nested together to initially propel the vehicle from the launcher and this impact releases the detachable connector so that the biasing element is effective to eject the front portion away from the rear portion as the rolling friction begins to decrease, thus, providing a multi-stage effect. The launching device is a piston mounted in a chamber pressurized by a manual pump. Manually movable trigger means releasably blocks the piston movement.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for making doll clothing and doll house accessories includes a plurality of mold shapes or forms which are used to produce various articles of attire such as dresses, pants, and doll house furnishings such as cushions, curtains, rugs, flowers and many other items. Each of the garment molds may include detachable portions, such as the arms, to facilitate removing a finished article from the mold itself. The doll house accessories are made in generally flat molds which provide the texture and shape of the finished item. A viscous, liquid plastic is applied to the exterior surface of the mold by a brush or other tool to cover the exterior of the mold which defines the particular article. The liquid coating sets or solidifies to form a flexible article adapting the contours of the mold. The garment is then removed from the exterior of the mold.

Abstract:

A board game designed arounda "monster" theme wherein the object of the game is to proceed from a starting area to a weapons pickup area while avoiding capture by the monster and after pick up of a weapon to be the first to hunt down and destroy the monster. The board game apparatus includes a game board having a playing surface and a travel path defined by a plurality of spaced apart play stations extending between a starting area and the pickup area for weapons. A plurality of playing pieces are adapted to be moved along the travel path between the play stations and a chance device is utilized for directing the movement of the playing pieces along the travel path. The game board playing surface also includes a plurality of spaced apart foot spaces arranged in pairs to straddle the travel path. A toy figure in the form of a monster having spaced apart feet is adapted to stand on pairs of the foot spaces and straddle the travel path when the monster is in a standing position. The monster includes a body having a pan for holding a quantity of cohesive gelatinous material or gel and the pan includes at least one opening which permits the gel material to drool downwardly into contact with the playing surface to provide a cohesive strand which forms an impediment to the movement or placement of the playing pieces along the path that is straddled by the monster.

Abstract:

An action strategy game device includes a base having a playing surface defining a plurality of play areas on opposite sides for supporting one or more playing pieces of opposing players. A plurality of playing pieces are adapted for movement around the play areas between a back line and a front line thereof toward an opposing player's area are provided and the playing pieces normally stand upright on the base until knocked down when struck by a moving missile or cannon ball released or fired by an opposing player. Cannon balls are provided for firing along paths determined by the players and reaimed to knock down an opponent's upstanding playing pieces. The cannon balls are secured to one end of an elongated elastic member such as a rubber band which is securable to the base of the game device between the play areas. A notched wall structure is provided along the back line of each player for holding the cannon balls in place at selected positions along the back line with the elastic member under tension. A manually transportable device is provided for releasing the cannon balls by movement upwardly to clear the wall structure so that they are propelled by the elastic member toward an upstanding playing piece on an opponent's play area.

Abstract:

The present invention provides an inflatable toy vehicle including a main housing or chassis supported by a plurality of rotatably mounted wheels for peripherally engaging a suitable surface. A rear cargo portion includes a plurality of apertures or windows and encloses a flexible, inflatable sack. Collapsible portions of the sack adjacent the windows are decorated and formed to appear as animal heads so that internal pressure will cause the formed portions to expand outwardly and take the predetermined shape. A pump in the form of a bellows is provided in the front portion or cab of the vehicle and operated by manually reciprocating a figure mounted on the top thereof for inflating the sack.
