Abstract:

A composition suitable for providing protection against ultraviolet radiation containing one or more active ultraviolet radiation absorber through which ultraviolet radiation in approximately the 295 to 315 nanometer range is permitted to enter the skin in an amount sufficient for the body to produce a healthful and disease-opposing quantity of vitamin Dand chemical precursors thereof. The composition is particularly used in sunscreens promoting on the one hand vitamin Dproduction, on the other hand protecting the skin against harmful ultraviolet radiation.

The current invention discloses drug formulations of anti-infective mangrove extracts and their ability to block the reproductive capabilities of viruses, funguses, bacteria and tumors. Mangrove extracts can be ingested internally to prevent the proliferation of viruses, funguses, bacteria and tumors in humans and other animals; or the mangrove extracts can be applied directly to the skin, in the form of a disinfectant hand gel, to fight microbial infection.

Abstract:

The current invention discloses novel uses of orally ingested cobalamins for the maintenance of a healthy and normal body weight and body mass index (BMI). Cobalamins support mitochondrial conversion of carbohydrates into chemical energy called ATP. Cells in the body, especially energy-hungry muscle and brain cells, use ATP as an energy source for many types of cellular functions. Simply put, cobalamins are the natural nutrients needed for cellular metabolism and the burning of calories. In a phase III, placebo-controlled, nutritional study with a total of 1,551 human test subjects, on average those obese people who took cobalamins lost weight and BMI, while those obese people who took placebo gained weight and BMI.

Abstract:

The current invention discloses novel approaches to help individuals defend against headaches and body pains with orally-delivered cyanocobalamin, methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, and combinations thereof. Original clinical research conducted by the inventor on almost 2,000 humans yielded surprising and unexpected results showing differences in the frequency and severity of pains in the head and the body favoring cyanocobalamin patients over placebo. In one FDA-approved Phase III study on 1,551 patients, 4.4 percent of headaches and body pains were rated as “Severe” in the cyanocobalamin, group versus 11.5 percent in the placebo group. Once inside the body, cyanocobalamin is converted to methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, but not to hydroxocobalamin. The current invention provides the patient's mitochondria with sufficient concentrations of essential micronutrients to survive, increase in number and manufacture the chemical energy (ATP) that is required to prevent the brief vasoconstriction followed by vasodilation associated with headache and body pain.
