Abstract:
An electric shaver having two spaced shaving heads with a long hair clipper or trimmer positioned therebetween with the trimmer being adjustable to a retracted position or to an extended position in which it is spaced from the shaving heads and is adaptable to trimming sideburns, moustaches and the like. The trimmer is slidably supported on a head frame which is detachably mounted with respect to a motor enclosing housing. The trimmer is spring biased into engagement with cam means carried by the housing and adapted to position the trimmer at various heights with respect to the shaving heads. The shaving heads include foil combs carried by the head frame and spring biased against cutters which are mounted on the housing and supported for reciprocation on friction reducing ball rollers. The motor drives the trimmer and shaving cutters by means of a double eccentric carried by the motor shaft and a pair of coaxially pivoted levers which oscillate in an out-of-phase relationship.

Abstract:
An integral plastic fuseholder for receiving portions of a pair of in-line electrical conductors which may be connected to a non-fused electrical adapter plug. One conductor of the pair is severed within the holder to form an open connection until the connection is completed by a flat-blade insertion fuse. A pair of female electrical terminals is located within the fuseholder with each terminal connected to a different end of the severed conductor. The fuseholder has a foldable clam-shell housing formed by a pair of foldable cover sections which are joined by a centrally disposed hinge section. The housing is opened to receive the in-line electrical conductor pair, or alternatively is folded to a closed position to retain the in-line conductor pair and to create a partially enclosed cavity which forms a fuse-insert access opening opposite the hinge section. Any inserted fuse is connected in series with the conductor terminals to complete a fused conductor connection to an adapter plug through the fuseholder. A removable cap is provided to close the fuse-insert access opening.

Abstract:
An electrical coaxial jack connector adapted for electrical interconnection with a mating plug-type coaxial connector. The coaxial jack connector has an integral molded plastic body from which external connecting wires project to form a unitary cable connector. The jack-connector body is subdivided into three body sections, namely, a contact-housing section, a grip section, and a wire strain-relief section. A contact mounting board divides the contact-housing section from the grip section. A coaxial male-pin contact and a peripheral leaf-spring contact project from a front surface of the mounting board into an access cavity defined by a cylindrical wall which forms the contact-housing body section. This cylindrical wall is formed with an internal recess or groove which is located adjacent to and in alignment with the leaf-spring contact. This recess serves as a receptacle, at least in part, for the leaf-spring contact in response to leaf-spring deflecting movements caused by the mating insertion of a plug coaxial connector into the jack connector-housing body section.
Modular Cutter Assembly For An Electric Dry Shaver

Abstract:
A modular cutter assembly for an electric dry shaver of the type wherein movable cutter assemblies are disposed in shearing relationship with a flexible comb assembly. Each of the cutter assemblies is easily removable or replaceable as a modular unit from the cutter drive shafts of the shaver head. The modular cutter assemblies are assembled by the insertion of alternating cutter blade element assemblies and cutter blade spacers within a cutter support structure with a predetermined interrelationship and orientation of the aforementioned subassembly parts to achieve a consistently and accurately disposed cutter system. Each of the plurality of cutting blade element assemblies of each cutter assembly of the shaver is formed by two individual cutter blades having oppositely inclined outwardly angled cutting edges providing a desirable cutting edge geometry in a back-to-back relationship heretofore achievable only by the undercut grinding in two inclined directions of a single cutter blade or by coining to achieve a similar configuration. The two back-to-back individual cutter blades utilized to form the single cutter blade element assembly of each cutter assembly are fabricated as identical parts and mounted in a back-to-back reverse orientation to thereby achieve the oppositely inclined outwardly angled edges of the cutter blade pair. The individual cutter blades are fabricated with integrally formed biasing members which urge the cutter blade edges into accurate conformance with the comb assembly and establish a uniform consistent biasing force during operation.

Abstract:
A battery charger adapted for connection to a standard 12 volt vehicle battery through a cigarette lighter socket includes a transistorized saturable-transformer DC to AC inverter and an AC to DC rectifier for generating a potential higher than the potential from said 12 volt vehicle battery. An integrated circuit pulse width modulated current control is used to control charging current flow to a second battery to be charged and to maintain charging current at a safe level.
