Abstract:
A golf club vibration dampening and sound attenuation system including an elongated shaft, a club head, a resilient insert assembly, a dampener, and a grip. The shaft has a distal shaft end and a proximal shaft end. The club head is coupled to the distal shaft end, and includes a front wall and a sole portion. The front wall has a rearwardly sloped front strike side and a rear side. The sole portion rearwardly extends from a lower region of the rear side. The rear side and the sole portion define a cavity and a recess. The recess downwardly extends into the sole portion. A resilient insert assembly is positioned in and substantially fills the recess. The insert assembly is coupled to one or both of the sole portion and the lower region. The dampener is disposed within the shaft and has at least one annular radially extending projection.

Abstract:
In some of these approaches, a first fingerprint of a first user is stored in a memory and the transmission of an activation code is authorized. Subsequently, the first fingerprint is re-sensed and authenticated and a second fingerprint of a second user is responsively sensed and stored. The activation code is transmitted to the moveable barrier operator upon subsequent authenticating of the second fingerprint. Subsequently, the second fingerprint is re-sensed and authenticated and a third fingerprint of a third user is responsively sensed and stored. The activation code is transmitted to the moveable barrier operator upon subsequent authenticating of the third fingerprint.

Abstract:
The presence of a first human fingerprint at the fingerprint scanner. The first human fingerprint is analyzed to determine whether the first human fingerprint has been previously learned by the barrier movement operator. When the first human fingerprint is determined to be previously learned, a first command is sent to actuate a moveable barrier operator. Within a predetermined time period after the first human fingerprint has been determined to be previously learned, the presence of a second human fingerprint is sensed at the fingerprint scanner. Without analyzing the second fingerprint, a second command is sent to actuate the moveable barrier operator. The first fingerprint and the second fingerprint may be from the same or different users.

Abstract:
A golf club shaft is provided with increased torsional stiffness by making the outside diameter of the tip end larger. The torsional stiffness per unit weight of the shaft is greater than the torsional stiffness per unit weight of prior shafts. The shaft can be attached to a clubhead by inserting the tip end over a male hosel or over a shaft adapter which is attached to a female hosel.

Abstract:
A tennis racket includes a one piece integrally molded frame with a handle portion and a pair of beams which extend from the handle portion to the top of the racket. The height and width of each beam varies along the length of the beam. In addition, each beam has a maximum width and height at the bottom of the strung surface proximate the intersection of the beams and a frame cross piece.

Abstract:
A tennis racket is made lighter than conventional tennis rackets yet has a higher center of percussion and a higher frequency of vibration. The head of the racket is ovoid, and the widest part of the head is above the longitudinal midpoint of the head. The longitudinal strings are fan-shaped and diverge outwardly and upwardly from the bottom of the head.

Abstract:
In a racket for tennis or the like games having a frame for receiving stringing and comprising a possibly hollow profile bar, and a handle end which is of polygonal cross-section and which is wound around with a grip strip and whose blank is provided at the corners of the cross-section with longitudinal edges separating each two longitudinal surfaces, the longitudinal edges are raised relative to their longitudinal surfaces. Preferably for that purpose longitudinal ribs extend at the longitudinal edges, the ribs being formed on the handle blank or being fixedly connected thereto in another manner.
