Abstract:

The present invention relates to a device for scraping material from the earth. The device has a scraper housing, which may be attached to the front of a bulldozer or other earthmoving vehicle. The scraper housing may generally include a back wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, a center support, and a brace. The device may be equipped with a scraper blade attached to an earth transfer plate, the scraper blade attached proximate to the front of the scraper housing. As the scraper housing is urged forward, the scraper blade scrapes material from the earth which, by the force of the material being scraped, is forced along the earth transfer plate. After reaching the end of the earth transfer plate, the material can be deposited onto a scraper conveyor that has a belt extending between the side walls of the housing. The scraper conveyor belt continuously moves material toward an opening in the second wall. The device may also include a boom conveyor extending from an outside portion of the second side wall of the scraper housing and located below the opening in the second side wall to catch material conveyed past the edge of the scraper conveyor belt to carry the material to a distant location. For example the boom conveyor may be positioned over a truck so that material is continuously moved from the scraper housing to the truck for transportation and dumping. The boom conveyor may be supported by an adjustable support member. To assist movement of material along the upwardly sloped surface of the earth transfer plate a rotating shaft above that plate with plates or vanes extending therefrom can be used.

Abstract:

Provided are barrels, barrel assemblies, firearms, and associated components, assemblies, and methods. A barrel of a firearm may include an inner surface defining a bore configured to guide a projectile as the projectile is propelled through the bore by pressurized gas. The barrel may define a muzzle end, a chamber end opposite the muzzle end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the muzzle end and the chamber end. The inner surface may define a chamber at the chamber end of the barrel. The chamber may receive a cartridge and to support at least a portion of a casing of the cartridge during firing. The barrel may further define one or more barrel feed ramps at the chamber end configured to guide at least a portion of the cartridge into the chamber during an operational cycle of the firearm. The barrel may engage with a barrel extension as a barrel assembly.

The present disclosure generally relates to a bolt catch device that prevents the bolt of a bolt carrier assembly of a firearm from moving to its forward position so as to prevent the firearm from being discharged until the user manually moves the bolt catch. The bolt catch is mechanically coupled to the selector of the firearm via a linkage, so that the bolt catch can be moved by way of the selector. This feature can prevent a self-loading firearm that otherwise could function on a semi-automatic basis from operating in such a manner.

Trigger guard assemblies for firearms include a trigger guard movable between a closed positon; and an open position providing greater access to a trigger bow of the firearm. The trigger guard assemblies also include a post that engages the trigger guard, and is movable in relation to the trigger guard between a retracted position and an extended position. When in the retracted position, the post does not interfere with movement of the trigger guard between the open and closed positions. When in the extended position, the post interferes with movement of the trigger guard between the open and closed positions, and exerts a lateral force on the firearm to further secure the trigger guard to the firearm.
