April 1994, the Industrial Developers Review Council (IDRC) in association with Conway Data, Inc at its Spring Conference in Dearborn, Michigan awarded the IDRC Research Award to Entergy-Louisiana as one of the two best research projects for the “INSITE, Entergy’s Mobile Site Selection System”. Principal Researcher for this CDI formatted interactive program was Fred Duplantis. The Compact Disc presented all the Parish (County) profiles, available buildings and sites throughout the Entergy-Louisiana service area and video’s of the major communities of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Monroe and the Bayou Region. The INSITE program was later converted to a PC-based program and included all the Entergy Service area for Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and East Texas.
