A helmet, such as for equestrian sports, includes an outer shell formed by an upper dome and a lower ring attached to a bottom edge of the upper dome by screws. The assembled arrangement is particularly strong but is adapted to facilitate molding and further has a traditional equestrian helmet appearance. A removable faceguard includes legs shaped to upwardly fit into downwardly-open cavities formed within the ring, and includes latches pivoted to the legs for snap-attachment to lateral surfaces within the cavities. The latches are made of a material optimized for durability and resiliency, and are preferably of a material different than the faceguard itself.

The sheet may be included in a pad or roll containing a plurality of such sheets adhesively and releasably connected together. A pad of such sheets may include a hole through the sheets to enable the pad to be stored on a hook. The sheets may be configured in a variety of different shapes to conform to different sized toilets and urinals and may include decorative graphics, writings, and various colors or textures to provide a means of advertising, concealing drips and stains, and improving the appearance of a restroom. • Filed:
    Jun 24, 2004
  • Appl. No.:
    10/877268
  • Inventors:
Frederick Foote - Haslett MI, US
  • International Classification:
    B32B005/26
    B32B027/12
  • US Classification:
    442057000, 442035000, 442400000, 442401000, 442096000, 428131000, 428137000, 428138000
  • Abstract:
A durable, low-cost, disposable absorbent sheet construction of layers ultrasonically secured together, including a permeable top layer, an upper absorbent layer, an impermeable layer that prevents moisture passage, a lower absorbent layer, and a permeable bottom layer. The layers are ultra-sonically bonded at point locations, which provides a low-cost secure attachment and further provides an attractive pattern to the sheet. Also, the bonding forms depressions that facilitate entry of water into the absorbent layers. Repositionable adhesive on the bottom layer provides secure but repositionable attachment to a floor surface. An anti-microbial agent and/or an air freshening agent can be added to the absorbent layer as desired.
