Abstract:
A human antibody or an antigen-binding fragment which binds human IL-6 receptor (hIL-6R) with a Kof about 500 pM or less and blocks IL-6 activity with an ICof 200 pM or less. In preferred embodiments, the antibody the antibody or antigen-binding fragment binds hIL-6R with an affinity at least 2-fold higher relative to its binding monkey IL-6R.

Abstract:
Expression-enhancing nucleotide sequences for expression in eukaryotic systems are provided that allow for enhanced and stable expression of recombinant proteins in eukaryotic cells. Enhanced expression and stability regions (EESYRs) are provided for expression of a gene of interest in a eukaryotic cell. Chromosomal loci, sequences, and vectors are provided for enhanced and stable expression of genes in eukaryotic cells.

The present invention provides methods of preventing or treating rheumatoid arthritis using a fully human antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds human interleukin-6 receptor (hIL-6R). The methods of the present invention may include administration of a second therapeutic agent, such as one or more of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), a glucocorticoid, a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD), or a TNF-alpha antagonist, T-cell blocker, anti-CD20 antibody, an IL-1, JAK or IL-17 antagonist, or any combination thereof.

Abstract:
Network-side and client-side systems and techniques for managing metadata items describing digital media content available from a number of digital media content sources are described. Disparate metadata items are collected and transcribed based on a common format. The common format facilitates computerized cataloging, searching, and presentation of relevant metadata and/or digital content via a wide variety of client-side devices. The common format includes: a portion for storing descriptive data derived from the original metadata items; a portion for storing data specific to the digital media content source supplying the original metadata; and a services specifier portion used for accessing specific digital media content. The common format may be used to identify relationships between transcribed items of metadata based on virtually unlimited selection criteria, and to facilitate the creation and presentation to users of data sets of related metadata and/or digital media content.

Image Projector Employing A Speckle-Reducing Laser Source
An image projector having one or more broadband lasers designed to reduce the appearance of speckle in the projected image via wavelength diversification. In one embodiment, a broadband laser has an active optical element and a nonlinear optical element, both located inside a laser cavity. The broadband laser generates an output spectrum characterized by a spectral spread of about 10 nm and having a plurality of spectral lines corresponding to different spatial modes of the cavity. Different individual spectral lines effectively produce independent speckle configurations, which become intensity-superimposed in the projected image, thereby causing a corresponding speckle-contrast reduction.

Abstract:
A method, system and computer program product for enabling authentication of an OpenID user when a requested identity provider is unavailable. A relying party receives a login request from the OpenID user, where the login request includes a username. The relying party reads a list of trusted identity providers that are associated with the received username and selects one of those identity providers. The relying party generating an OpenID identifier using an identification (e. g. , Uniform Resource Locator) of the selected identity provider and the username. The relying party transmits an authentication request (request to authenticate the OpenID user) to the selected identity provider using the formed OpenID identifier. If the selected identity provider is unavailable, then the relying party selects another identity provider from the list of identity providers that are associated with the received username and repeats the above process.
