either team scored for the next six innings before the Horned Frogs got two on with walks in the 16th. Then with two outs Evan Skoug singled down the third base line and Garrett Crain headed toward home. The Horned Frogs won it on an error when the throw home bounced away from A&Ms catcher and

LSU went to the bullpen and called on Hunter Newman who was greeted by a two-run single from Garrett Crain, putting the Frogs up 3-1.
The Frogs took a 3-1 lead in the second. Skoug and Steinhagen singled, and LSU starter Zac Person walked the next two batters to allow Skoug to come home. Garrett Crain singled through the right side to drive home Steinhagen and Odell to give the Frogs their first lead.
