Genile Morris, a Miami native, enrolled in the University of Florida; and over the years, developed a love for the beautiful city of Gainesville. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering and Master's of Education. After living in Gainesville for 12 years, she moved to Atlanta for two years, but the love of Gainesville brought her back. When she made the decision to return, she realized that she bleeds orange and blue! During her collegiate and professional career, she has served the community in various ways. Genile has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club, The Gainesville Junior Women's Club, and her Spirit of Faith Church community becoming a FPU graduate and coordinator. She loves to serve others and has a passion for people and their personal growth. She is a firm believer in the greatness Gainesville has to offer, and loves to help others discover it. She has taught in Alachua county schools. She has been involved with both Hawthorne and Eastside communities. While teaching, she has sparked a fire in students for mathematics helping them to realize they have great potential and value. This is why Genile has a special place in her heart for the first time home buyer. She believes in their ability to take that first step towards homeownership. She will use that same enthusiasm from the classroom to ensure buyers realize the potential they have to own a home. She also managed to experiment in baking, which led to numerous cookie creations adored by many of her friends and family. Her cookies have been requested for special occasions and celebrations alike. As a matter of fact, many friends request her cookies every time they return to Gainesville. Genile understands the importance of bringing the right ingredients, time, and skill to create the perfect cookie. She applies this same care and attention to her each of her clients. This philosophy has contributed to her success in the classroom, the kitchen, and beyond. She understands the important decisions involved in home buying, and cares about the outcome.
