Abstract:

A global positioning system that actively guides blind pedestrians and military/police forces. This system uses DoD Global Positioning System (GPS) to provide user position and navigation to centimeter accuracy. Present position and navigation requests are digitally cellular telephoned to a central âbase stationâ where data is correlated with a computerized map database which holds names and coordinates of specific locations, such as streets; intersections; traffic lights; hospitals; bathrooms; public telephones; and internal layouts of major buildings and facilities, in selected regions, cities, and neighborhoods. System operates by user entering desired destination into hand-held unit via voice recognition software or using Braille keyboard. Hand-held unit then transmits present position (PP) GPS satellite signals and desired destination to a base station which contains map database and surveyor quality GPS computer system.

Abstract:

A disposable product used to stabilize rolling veins and bring small veins into position to facilitate needle insertion. Needle insertion is used for transfusions, to draw blood samples, and for variety of other medical necessities. Many patients have either/or both small veins or veins that roll under the skin. Either of these characteristics has the tendency to complicate the process of sticking the needle in. As a result of these characteristics in concert with the mental and physical discomfort described by several recipients of multiple needle stabs, and fact that these characteristics complicate the speed of providing IV emergency care in a moving ambulance, the invention was developed. Invention is a sterile wrapped flexible plastic performed pad with an elongated hole in the middle, and coated on the bottom with bandage type adhesive.

Abstract:

This invention automates a portion of the existing process by applying computerized comparative assessment program to the image presented on the operators viewing screen. This is accomplished by creating a computerized image database of all known weapons, dangerous articles, and other prohibited items. At the same time the scanned containers contents data is converted to the image presented on the operators viewing screen, the same data is computer compared to the weapons database. Just as the human mentally compares learned weapons database against what he or she sees on the monitor, the computer accomplishes the same process, except much more timely and accurately. When the computer identifies data from the scanned image that correlates to its prohibited items database, it alerts the security operator by any number of common means and highlights the image on the security operators monitor.

An insulated elastic cover that slips snuggly over interior or exterior door knob. It is constructed in a manner that allows locking and unlocking actions, as well as the ability to turn the door knob. Invention takes advantage of state-of-the-art materials to maximize insulating properties while minimizing bulk. Abstract:

A patient receives a baseline medical image. The image is either a digital product or scanned/converted to a digital image and stored as a computer file for future use. When this patient receives subsequent imagery, the radiologist loads the baseline image file into a computer along with the new image file. The radiologist then runs a program on the computer that compares, bit-by-bit, the two digital images and identifies and highlights all differences between the two. The product of this process provides the radiologist with near instantaneous imagery changes that may be too small for the naked eye to identify.
