Abstract:

A floor care apparatus includes a housing having a nozzle assembly and a canister assembly. Both a suction generator and a dirt collection vessel are carried on the housing. An agitator cavity is provided on the nozzle assembly. A rotary agitator is provided in the agitator cavity. The rotary agitator includes an internal space. An agitator drive system is provided in the internal space of the rotary agitator. The agitator drive system includes first and second drive motors that simultaneously drive the agitator.

Abstract:

An upright vacuum cleaner includes a base unit having a suction inlet, a suction generator and a locating element. The vacuum cleaner also includes first and second dirt collection modules. The first dirt collection module has a receiver that cooperates and engages with the locating element so that it may be properly secured to the base unit. An adapter allows the second dirt collection module to be properly secured to the base unit instead of the first dirt collection module.

A vacuum cleaner includes a body having a nozzle assembly, a handle assembly, a bag compartment and a suction generator compartment. A suction generator is held in the suction generator compartment. The bag compartment includes a wall and a plurality of v-shaped ribs projecting from the wall into the bag compartment.
