Abstract:
An electrical connector is provided that protects the electrical connector and associated components from harsh mechanical, electrical and environmental requirements. A jack is received by a jack housing, and a plug is received by a plug housing. The jack is adapted to receive the plug. A first seal member is positioned between the plug housing and the jack housing to form a seal therebetween when the jack and the plug are connected. A coupling member is attached to the plug housing and is adapted to receive the jack housing. A spring member is positioned between the coupling member and the plug housing to compress the first seal member between the jack housing and the plug housing.

Abstract:
A patch panel assembly having a bracket with a base extending between first and second side walls. The bracket defines a cable receiving passageway. First and second patch panels are coupled to the first and second side walls for pivotal movement about first and second vertical pivot axes between open and closed positions. The patch panels are selectively engageable with one another in their closed positions for limiting access across the cable receiving passageway.

Abstract:
A tool for terminating wires to electrical connectors includes an outer body configured to fit with an operator's hand and a first receiving member mounted in the outer body for releasably holding an electrical connector in place within the outer body. A first wire guide slot is located at a first end of the outer body remote from the first receiving member. The first slot is aligned with the first receiving member to align wires located in the first slot with the electrical connector held by the first receiving member.

Abstract:
A rack assembly has a rack and a first interconnect tower. The rack has a first face to receive a plurality of switches. The first interconnect tower has a second face to receive a first plurality of patch panels. The first interconnect tower is disposed adjacent the rack such that the second face of the first interconnect tower is proximal the first face of the rack allowing shorter patch cords to be used and occupying less floor space. A second interconnect tower having a third face to receive a second plurality of patch panels may be disposed adjacent the rack such that the third face of the second interconnect tower is proximal the first face of the rack.
