2013 SIGGRAPH Poster Student Research Semi Finalist ACM Semi Finalist in the ACM Student Research Competition for SIGGRAPH 2013 for my published poster: Attention Guiding Principles in 3D Adventure Games. Final awards to be presented at SIGGRAPH 2013 on July 25th 2013. 2013 Outstanding Masters Award Drexel University Awarded in the Arts and Humanities category. Awards are presented to master’s degree students at Drexel who demonstrate the highest standards of scholarship, leadership ability and strong commitment to civic responsibility among their peers. 2013 Master's Research Excellence Award Drexel University Awarded in the Highly Recommended category.The award recognizes the contributions of graduate students towards the mission of the university especially in the classroom, in the teaching lab and the research lab. The Office of Graduate Studies through its Graduate Student Excellence Committee selects graduate students, who have exhibited outstanding research/scholarship/creativity in the past year. 2013 GDC Narrative Review Platnium Receipient Game Developers Conference Awarded the Platinum award for the international Narrative Review competition for my critical analysis of ThatGameCompany's Journey. Our game focused on a non-linear educational gaming experience that was designed for The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Story Development for Gaming Moderated a panel at the first Annual Gameloop Philadelphia. Discussions were about narrative and how story can impact gameplay. Judge's Choice Philadelphia Game Jam Awarded top honors at the Philadelphia Game Jam for Winston's Eggventure. The Philly Game Jam is a 48 hour game development competition. Teams are formed ahead and then given a topic upon arrival. Our team focused on creating a 3d adventure game that took you on an adventure of "Winston", a baby dinosaur. George F Hixson Fellowship Pennsylvania Circle K International George F. Hixson Fellowships were created by the Kiwanis International Foundation in 1983 to establish an endowment fund in honor of Hixson, the first president of Kiwanis International. The Fellowship is one of Kiwanis ' highest honors.
